No but you can pin them to ground, not throw a single punch and not let them get up for 25 minutes and become the ufc most successful champion, that's what Sean Shrek does.Comment

He does that in everyone of his fights and he's Dana Whites favorite *****.
I don't have time to answer your piss poor retared post that uses smileys to make up for the lack of intelligence of the poster.
See I can do that to.

Take guys like Floyd and Calzaghe and put them in wrestling match with Lesnar... You know the rest.Boxing is an artform that has being evolving for centuries and it takes years to master. Take a guys like Kimbo and Lesnar, if they were to get into boxing they would get their asses handed to them on a regular basis. But in MMA they are hyped to be the next superstars of the sport.
MMA is the trendy sport to watch, most of it's fanbase is made up of white people. And with wite people trends don't last long.
For now... Kimbo is just hype, nothing more.
Anderson Silva, Minotauro Nogueira and Quinton Jackson are all ex Pride fighters.
3 champions in 5 divisions.
Takes more skill to be boxing p4p champion?
So boxing p4p champ is black belt in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, has striking skills with knees, elbows, legs, knows how to wrestle and he is best at mixing all this skills into fighting? Boxing champ has more skills then elite MMA fighter (Anderson Silva or Fedor Emelianenko)?
First off all, i'd like to see you hold down Hermes Franca or Kenny Florian (legit black belts) for 25 minutes.
Then the funny part...
Most successful champion? Sean Sherk?
2 title fights (one for which he failed dope test) and he is most successfull champion in UFC?
You ever heard about guys like Tito Ortiz, Matt Hughes, Chuck Liddell, Randy Couture???Last edited by Sudo; 05-02-2008, 12:39 PM.Comment

Boxing is a sport, MMA is garbage and I will tell you why.
Look its easy for your traditional MMA fans to think its so much better than boxing because they found a bloodsport that they like, and hey why blame them? perhaps they were just born that way.
But look true sports have guidelines, there are rules set, for example: MMA where are the rules? seriously you get to use Legs elbows back hands forearms Knees etc.. very few rules are really there meaning you can throw anything land pretty much anywhere and its a scoring blow.
Boxing on the other hand is a total differnt package, you only get two fist, and that is it, and with those fist you score and defend shots. not only that you are limited to the front upper half of the body. basicly your minimized down to just your hands to score and protect your minimized down to a small scoring area making it much more difficult to score, meaning there is much more skill involved, for example when a pitcher throws a ball just cus its over the plate doesnt make it a strike, it might have been too high or too low, that is why there is a strike zone.
No different in boxing you have a scoring Zone in other words and you can only use your fist to score. meaning you have to have good timing and focus to score, much less win.
so in other words, MMA really IMHO I whole heartedly think it sux to me its not a skilled sport becuase there are no real rules that make the fighters use skill. in addition in MMA you have loads of quick stoppages due to the fact they dont conduct any standing 8 counts, and in boxing a standing 8 Count is what has provided us with some of the greatest comebacks in the history of prizefighting Example: Corrales vs CastilloComment

Yes, they did lost their big fights.
CroCop just ****ed up. He thought that UFC HW's suck, and will walk through them. He had a nice surprise in Gonzaga fight.
Shogun, well he did have an knee injury prior to Griffin fight, and was married two weeks before the fight.
But biggest shock to him was probably Griffin strength and size for a Lhw fighter.Comment
