Most people trust real encyclopedias, books written by single authors.

No they aren't. They are compiled by academic panels and referenced with up to date studies.

The trouble with Wikipedia is that it can be edited by anyone with an axe to grind. It is still very useful but cannot be used as an academic primary source. It can however be used as a partial source and the citation referenced too.

you do realize theres 1000 different types that do 1000 different things right?

theres not one stereotypical steroid.... the substance he had was proven by scientists to have no effect on endurance or muscle building... thats why it made its way into an over the counter drink at GNC. And was also not banned until 3 years after ROy had taken it... one time.

If you look at Roys weight fluctuations and the time between those fluctuations, such as his move to heavyweight. Added to that, the fact that he was caught up in the BALCO scandal and tested positive for performance enhancers, its fair to assume that he knowingly took enhancers.

he added close to 20lbs of lean mass in the space of 16 weeks before the Ruiz fight. Anyone who knows anything about human physiology will tell you that this is impossible to do naturally.

1. Steroids can be used for more than "muscle building". The PRIMARY use of most steroids in athletic endeavors is for recovery. Look up recovery.

2. It is true that in Ripped Fuel the substance that was later banned was there. This is the "steroid" the Roy tested positive for. IF you think that this is a positive steroid test in the sense that Roy is a cheater that took Roids, you probably have autism. Perhaps you need to look up what "burden of proof" means.

3. The usual idiots come out of the woodwork to talk trash about a fighter because they don't like him or because he kicked their favorite fighters ass, or their favorite fighter dodged them for years.

4. Using the Roy was "calm" proof is incorrect. Roid "rage" usually takes a long while of abuse and not all people react to the tons of different steroids on the market in the same manner. Side effects (to all drugs OTC, prescribed and illegal) affect different people in different ways. Hence the word "may cause" on warning labels.
