Why cant people keep Mayweathers name out of their mouth?

It is amazing that even though so many people constantly belittle Floyds skills & try to discredit his Hall of Fame career that he constantly comes up whenever boxing & sometimes even MMA is discussed. Critics, Writers, Announcers, fighters, fans etc; Constantly are starting threads, writing articles, commenting on Floyd, or debates about who he will fight next are all over this board & the internet everywhere.

The guy managed to get over 325,000 PPVs for a fight with Baldomir. Which is a small miracle. 1 of the great things about Floyd is how he makes the haters become obsessed with his every move. Watching critics come with another excuse before or after every Floyd victory is funny as hell but seriously why cant the haters get this guys name out of their mouth?

    Two words: Miguel Cotto.

Honestly. This situation alone has turned me from a fan to a critic.

I can't imagine a situation for a fighter where it is more clear who they should be fighting. I can't believe Mayweather is just ****ing refusing to do it.

That's the problem, your ignorant to this particular situation. The difference between you and me is I UNDERSTAND what is going on, you refuse to come to terms with this reality.

floyd is depriving boxing of the fight that everyone wants. what is there not to hate? ducking or not - scared or not - the fight should happen regardless. **** ppv sales and fan bases. the fight will sell itself. i get the longer you wait the more hype it gets but this is a fight that should've happened yesterday or atleast this oscar rematch just shouldn't be happening. floyd is also aggravating because he makes it sound like he has no interest in fighting cotto ever. atleast give the fans a relative clue. ****!

For a fight that Floyd claims "is not important", or "doesnt make any sense right now", the ENTIRE boxing world seems to be talking about it! If u dont want to see this fight happen asap, you're not a boxing fan! Point blank.

the fact that you even have to ask shows you wouldnt accept the answer or even realize it. the funny thing about it is that it is honest criticism that Mayweather fanboys consider "hate" and analyst, boxers, writers who these fanboys would quote and link to when they had something good to say about Floyd completely do a 180 and call these respected figures haters, say they are just jealous, or just dont know anything about boxing. It says ALOT about the situation when the MAJORITY starts to share the same sentiment.

With Floyd fans, no longer can you be a fan of Floyd and also be critical. its either you idolize and become a groupie and praise EVERYTHING he does, which in their strange definition or perception would make you a "boxing fan", or you're just a "hater". I wish the fan boys can see how truly ridiculous they look, how truly delusional they sound, how truly remarkable this blind worshiping of Floyd they exercise with furious commitment really appears to the sane.
