I am eager to hear this sweet understanding you have that no one else in the boxing community has come to.

Don't be so sensative, I am not trying to seem condescending I can just tell you are being ignorant when you of all people should know the facts of the situation. I am not holding the "golden ticket" to the answer of the question, it is WELL documented he is making 20 million for this fight with DLH (at the LEAST) and another 20 million if he faces Hatton. If you were him would you not take the fight? I want to see the Cotto bout as much as anyone but to claim ducking is COMPLETE bull**** and only a mark or an someone disingenious would really believe that.

The Oscar rematch makes some sense to me.

The fight was at least close... there could be a desire for redemption on Floyd's part.

Also, $$$. Oscar is old and will retire soon. His drawing power is unmatched by anyone, probably in the history of the sport. I mean, seriously, my parents know who Oscar De La Hoya is. I knew who Oscar was before I started getting into boxing. It really might be Floyd's last chance to cash in on that. Fair enough.

But once I started hearing about a rematch with Ricky Hatton, that was it for me. I can't stand the thought of that. I didn't know who Hatton was before I started watching boxing on a regular basis. My parents don't know who Ricky Hatton is. Cotto's Puerto Rican fanbase rivals Hatton's British fanbase... and besides, PPV sales is the majority of the cash that the fighters will see. The argument about people coming over from Britain can easily be overcome by a slight increase in PPV sales from Mayweather-Cotto over Mayweather-Hatton II.

I don't think there is an argument in the world for Mayweather-Hatton II over Mayweather-Cotto.

Your problem is, your putting yourself in Floyd shoes, and thinking as if u are him, when in reality, you're only a fan, and as a fan, you should want to see the best fight the best. Why should we care what is more financially beneficial to Floyd? He has lawyers, advisors, and promoters to worry about all that for him. It benefits us in no way. Floyd's fortune is a result of us fans who purchase tickets and ppv's. Dont u feel that he at least owes us something?? A highly talked about, anticipated fight with Cotto would be nice!

How many times did I use to the word ducking in my post?

And lol at the prospect of Mayweather making more money for a Hatton rematch than he would for a Cotto rematch.

I just said in my last post that the De La Hoya rematch can be justified in my head if he ends up fighting Cotto in his next bout, but a Hatton rematch is just terrible.

With Floyd fans, no longer can you be a fan of Floyd and also be critical. its either you idolize and become a groupie and praise EVERYTHING he does, which in their strange definition or perception would make you a "boxing fan", or you're just a "hater". I wish the fan boys can see how truly ridiculous they look, how truly delusional they sound, how truly remarkable this blind worshiping of Floyd they exercise with furious commitment really appears to the sane.
Your a hater inside , but a crafty one , you try and create threads and posts concerning Mayweather as supposed logical questions full of sincerity lol , you ask where are all the hate threads everybody talks of are yet you are in most of them somewhere ,, concerning Floyd you dont fool anyone .

I don't think it's criminal to want to see Floyd fight someone he hasn't beat already.

I think most of us want that...

Even before I stepped down from the Floyd brigade, I never considered 2501 a hater. He really isn't. He just questions some of the more outlandish claims people make about Floyd. And of course, he questions the lack of a Mayweather-Cotto bout being signed in the present.

Good ****. Floyd's **** riders refuse to acknowledge anything that ain't absolute praise of their hero as anything more than hate. Fact is as a world champion he has an obligation to fight the best challengers in his weight class, and not doin it is bull****. I'm an unbiased Floyd fan and I've defended Floyd to no end for milkin one more payday fight against Oscar even tho I don't wanna see it, and milkin anticipation for a Cotto fight by delayin it. But for cryin out loud he better man up after he's done wit DLH. There's no excuse for him not to fight the Cotto-Marg winner other than bein a ****in *****. If people either hate you or love you wit no middle ground you're doin sumthin right cuz that's what makes a star, but in boxing you gotta fight to earn your keep.
