The right hand he lands about 1/2 way through the first round is ridiculous. I'll seriously never understand how Holmes got up. I remember reading somewhere he said he got hit too hard to be knocked out.

Mike was a much better finisher and technician than Shavers; but Earnie had Mike beat on raw, unadulterated power, IMO.

I'm gonna stop right there because the fact is there have been monsters that never won the title that hit harder than any champion.

Out of the ones I know, Shavers gets my vote as top overall explosive, concussion-giver.
Holy **** dude, did you finally get out from that well you fell in? Seems like forever you've been gone. Welcome back bro.

Joe Louis knocking out an elite fighter and mike tyson knocking out a tomato can... does not mean joe louis can hit harder than mike tyson...

joe was simply not the physical specimen that mike was, he wasnt built the same, he didnt have the same athleticism, speed or explosiveness mike had... theres just no way joe hit harder than mike.

And not only was mike much faster, but he was about 15 - 20lbs heavier.

Got at least one arm out so I can reach a computer once or twice a week.

Gimme some time, bro. I'll be up on my feet bouncing around in no time.

The size of the man does not always equate with the power of the punch.

If that were the case, no one would have ever beaten Valuev....much less gone the distance with him.

Why did you only look at one part of my post?

speed + mass = power ... mike had both over joe

Valuevs lack of speed is the reason he is very beatable.
