I don't think anybody is quite sure if he's ready yet. Like I said in my post anybody he faces for a title shot is gonna be tough. If he's gonna have a tough fight it might as well be for a title. If he takes the fight with Clottey then we'll really found out if he's ready or not.

yeah but promoters like to be certain if their fighter is ready specially one as protected as berto
thats why i have no doubt berto wont face joshua
joshua will end fighting some top rank contender for the vacant ibf title

This is a great fight. This fight is a great showcase of how deep the welterweight division is.

This may be too big a step up in competition for Berto. His best bet is to stick and move and try to outpoint clottey. And when I say move I almost mean RUN because clottey hits HARD.

It'll probably come down to who is in better shape I'll take Clottey on ring experience. But then again Berto is very young so u never know how much he may have improved since his last fight
