Clottey is the most underrated fighterin the welterweight division. He dominated margarito until he broke his right hand in round 4 of the fight and the decision against cotto could've went either way. Clottey is going to get another chance to prove he is a top contender once he wins the ibf belt

If Berto is the real thing he'll find a way to get past Clottey. It's a serious test, but if you want to be welterweight champion you're going to have to beat some good fighters.

Even Corrales moving up two weight divisions went the full distance with him and Clottey hit him a lot.
I'm shocked that Berto's people would even consider Clottey. It's a dangerous fight for an up & comer like him. Berto has defensive problems that Clottey will be able to exploit with his speed. This should be a fun fight with a ALOT of punches being thrown. The fight with Estrada was a good scrap but Berto wore him down with his power. CLottey will be harder to break. At this stage I think Clottey will be able to win a UD or possibly get a TKO stoppage because Berto will be there for him to hit.

Damn........I picked this matchup, when someone posted what would be a good welterweight matchup. I think their styles call for an action packed fight. Berto can't afford be careless against a ring savvy Clottey...Berto has been in alot of slugfest fights lately, taking more hits than he should. Berto is becoming a tactician at his offense but his defense is in need of improvement. Against someone like Clottey, Berto cannot take as many hits as he did in his fight with Estrada.
In any case this is an excellent matchup.

Huge test for Berto especially since he took many shots from Estrada who is nothing as powerful as Clottey. I can see either guy winning but if Berto is negligent with his defense I have to roll with Clottey.

i wouldn't mind seeing this fight....but if the de la hoya or gayweather fight doesn't come on..then arum should should give some money to clottey to wait for the marg-cotto winner.

WOW, i dont know that Margarito dominated him, if clotteys hand didnt get hurt, he would have won that fight. He is very very good, and probably the most ducked in the 147 division.
