no way they put berto in with clottey. even though margarito dominated him with an injured wrist and ankle clottey is still a good fighter who could beat many people in the welterweight division.

        won't happen

i would love to see this fight for the vacant ibf belt but it wont happen. First of all berto's handlers won't rush him in with a guy like clotty and second berto has a fight in the end of june. Whats he going to fight twice in six weeks. I would love to see it but it just won't happen. sorry guys.

Wasn't it clottey that was winning that fight on showtime.. until his hand broke..

yea i remember distinctly... he was landing great shots ..threw combinations great.. and was deceptively quick..he stunned margarito once i think too.....after he landed 4-5 punch combination.

Then you could see his hand broke and margarito took over.. and this was half way through the fight.

            I think Clottey whoops berto.

If he fights in June, he can return for a fight some time in August (if he doesn't get hurt). He will probably blow the June guy out. How long can they hold Berto from a shot? He is number two for the IBF and number one for the WBC. Clottey has a good chin and good skills, but he has no knockout power at all. Even Corrales moving up two weight divisions went the full distance with him and Clottey hit him a lot.

and corrales wasnt known for his granite chin either, let alone at a weight class two higher than what hes used too...

Smart move by Clottey. The fight was offered to him earlier, I believe (Berto is fighting on HBO B.A.D. ina couple months) but he turned it down. I expect him to beat Berto handily.
