Tony has never really been hurt, but Cotto is a devestating puncher.

I dont think Margarito has the power advantage in this fight.
I take it you've only started watching Margarito a few months ago. He CAN be hurt and he HAS been hurt - even dropped hard (Danny Perez). But he will get up and put a whooping on that a**. And while he's no one punch KO fighter, he's got power in both hands and throws his punches in frequency.

Cotto a devastating puncher? Perhaps to the body, I don't know. What I do know is that, devastating or not, he won't be able to take Margarito's shots. It's not about who hits harder, it's about who takes it better.

Lol Cotto fan...me? I enjoy watching him fight the same way I enjoy watching a most of the boxers on the scene. He doesn't pay my bills and I don't work for him, so I couldn't care less if he wins or loses, as long as I get to see a good fight.

Yes I come here to talk boxing and that's exactly what we were doing. So If I don't share your view I'm automatically a nuthugger? You shared your view on the fight, showed your gif, I watched the clips myself and I just don't see it. Don't know what else to say...

Nah, Dan you just turned it into an oppositional kind of issue a little bit at the end there. Look, when his legs are kicking out that's Miguel's signature stunned/hurt/buzzed reaction is all.. No biggie.

It's all good bro. I'm not sure where I turned it into an oppositional thing, but that wasn't my intention. I respect your opinions and your views on the subject, that's why I asked you in the first place to point it out. I could kinda see what your talking about but it's a tough call for me because he recovers so quickly.

Cotto's chin is a big, big problem. People know that he was hurt by Mosley and Judah at 147 - but what they may not realize is that he was buckled and stunned by Carlos Quintana and Alfonso Gomez - yes, Alfonso Gomez! Gomez caught him square a few times.. Once Cotto's arms flared out in a shocked reaction, another time his legs wobbled and his upper body tilted. It's like he has some sort of disorder or disease.

Cotto does not like to be hit. He is not good whatsoever at taking punches, and when Margarito fully exposes this reality people are going to be devastated. Me, all I will do is cooly and quietly sip a glass of lemonade when the time comes. There will be no surprises here. Just fond admiration for Miguel Cotto, and his ability to keep his secret for soo long - and his accomplishments so grand, despite his vulnerability.

Cotto's Boxing ability is pretty good and is mobility is also better than average - but not anywhere near where it would have to be stay out of Margarito's kill zone for 12 rounds. No where near.

Personally, I'm angry that Bob Arum and Top Rank are setting Cotto up like this. It's disgusting. They know what's going to happen.

Cotto and his team will tape both the right and the left like they did his left against Gomez for this one.. You won't be able to read "Cleto Reyes."

man you are funny! You really hate Cotto and dont care who beats him as long as you can see it and say afterwards "I told you so!"

Dude I watched your gif and its bogus, don't prove nothin because there are a lot of things that coulda caused Cotto's leg movement and he showed absolutely no signs of bein hurt ever in that fight even tho I seen him walk into a big right from Gomez at a different point in the fight.

but your point and this thread/poll is over played and over hyped. We all pretty much know that Cotto doesnt possess the set of whiskers that guys like Baldomir, Margarito and Shane Mosley have. Not many do but so what. Although Margarito maybe has a better chance of getting a stoppage from an upstairs shot Cotto has the better advantage fpr obtaining one to the body and possibly from accumulation. My question to you Addison is who do you think wins this fight and why? You usually seem to get pretty in-depth in your analysis so Im hoping you have a legitimate prediction and can let this obssesion with Cotto getting beaten go and get back to real boxing talk.

So, you're saying that he wasn't hurt against my videographic evidence that says he was.. It seems that looking like a duck, walking like a duck, and quacking like a duck no longer makes it a duck. The fact that it's Cotto, his chin, and he got nailed cleanly with a running right hand, means that it was something else that made his legs wobble, clearly.

This is the nature of a Freedom argument. Typical.

Freedom is also onboard the Cotto train AGAIN full stop. It wouldn't matter if he was fighting King Kong - Freedom would pick Cotto. Fanboy to the fullest.

The only obsession here is with Cotto winning every fight Freedom, and that is your obsession, bub. I've been picking against a guy with a shaky chin every time and you have been betting on one. I have been betting against a guy for ****s and giggles and you have been masturbating to one every night.

You ever notice how nobody says a ****ing thing to you for 4 months and then I get one of these posts because I'm the only one who talks to you?

              Yeah, me too.

you ripped my heart out there and it hurt. As far as me being a fanboy of Cotto I must admit I like the way he fights but he has *****s in his armor and I wont disppute that., nor will I dispute the fact that Margarito, Mosley and many of his other pasts opponents have or had what it takes to beat the guy they couldnt do it because of what Cotto possesses, ability and heart. Unlike you Addison (who sadly is the one masturbating to your self assumed status on NSB) I come to B-scene for information, browse the boards for an in-depth perspective and occasional dialog with others. Seems like over the last couple months you're really slippin homie, you could do for a little change of perspective, self-analysis and an old fashioned glass of shut the **** up before you turn into a joker for life.

If margarito lands good power shots, he will KO Jotto. The question is, will Cotto KO Margarito to the body before then.
