Arum and Diaz say that the 'Pretty Boy' was offered in the neighborhood of $7 million to face Margarito. In what could best be described as a 'business move', the same guy who brazenly challenged the bigger Winky Wright decided to bypass Margarito, to collect nearly $4 million to spar with Sharmba Mitchell.

look how much mayweather was offered when the coward chose to fight mitchell. it is from bob arums mouth and this was before that chicken bought out his contract with arum. why would arum like about a fighter he is promoting?? that doesnt make plain and basic common sense. if you cant understand the article i just posted then its sad that you are a writer and you cant read better than a mexican who learned english as a second language.

    Right...

Aren't you the same guy who said journalist or not, we're all fans. Now that ANOTHER journalist writes something favorable (in your eyes), it's gospel? Go away.

This is Bob Arum we're talking about here. Like I said, the same Arum who REFUSED to let Floyd fight Cotto when that was the ONLY match at 140 Floyd wanted aside from Gatti. Instead, Arum gave him Cotto's sparring partner. The same Arum who can't stop talking about how Floyd wants no part of Cotto.

Look, I'm of the opinion Floyd wanted no parts of Margarito. He had not even fully settled into 147 - why would he face the division's longest reigning champ? But I also think a healthy part of it was due to money- a little more than risk.
provide a link from AROUND the time of the article WHERE it says from Floyds mouth they were BEEFING or go away..

I think I can provide one from around that time where Floyd was actually giving his promoter credit..okay, you go first. ill wait.

of course mayweather wanted to fight cotto when he was just a prospect and at that time the fight was worth no money. now that cotto has established himself as a elite fighter and the fight is worth some real money mayweather wants no part of him. you are just showing more and more the cowardly ways of maywweather. he wants easy fights. he wont fight a real challenge no matter how much money is on the table.

Cotto was a prospect at 140? I could've sworn he was a champ.

I'm done here. What you guys fail to realize is that the more you diss Mayweather as a coward, the more you diminish a victory by Margarito over him. You can support a guy but be objective.

Bob Arum is a promoter. Let me ask you something...do you believe everything Arum said about De La Hoya before they broke apart or after?

                  Thanks.

When did I say he wasn't pursuing Gatti? Didn't I say that "aside from Gatti?"

Stick to the topic. Still think Cotto was a prospect at 140? LOL.
