This isnt a bad fight for Boytsov but they need to put him in with better opponents than that by the end of this year.

He needs to continue to fight decent journeymen like Hawkins during the next year, no more tomato cans like Connelly.

Then at age 23 next year he should fight a contender, and try for a title in late 2009 or 2010.

you said it, top 100, when a guy is fighting guys in top 100 he's considered to be a bum. just because he won one before he lost one it doesnt erase the rest of his losses in the past 3 years. IBO is nothing. boytsov has a crowd pleasing style and is exciting to watch, but he's a young guy with 20 fights who should be fighting guys in the top 10, or at least top 20.

Yeah, Boystov is very young still so I am willing to give him a chance.

The guys they are moving quickly, Povetkin and Odlanier Solis had a ton of amateur experience and are considerably older than him.

Nah there are no HW prospects his age who are as accomplished. He's much younger than Povetkin, Haye, Dimitrenko, etc. He has two to three years before he needs to become a serious challenger.

He turned pro young and deserves to fight 35 or 40 times before he looks for a title, given the circumstances of his having a dozen pro fights before his 21st B-Day
