I think the Kessler fight is one of the biggest wins that anyone can claim since quite a while ago. Who expected that fight to be so one-sided? And Kessler even looked great that night IMO.
Yeah, the Calzaghe-Kessler fight was a superb performance from both of them. As Manny Steward said, they were "producing beautiful, high-level stuff". Kessler is also a super-clean boxer. He clinched about 3 times in the whole fight and there was no sign of dirty tactics anywhere. Compare the Calzaghe-Hopkins fight. 160 clinches, most of those initiated by Hopkins.

Anyone who can't appreciate that Kessler is a very skilled fighter doesn't deserve to watch boxing.

      Not what I said....

I said he doesnt have to fight EVERY Natural Welter on the planet......

Honestly the Mosley-Judah winner brings more money for Floyd and a tougher challenge in y eyes then Cotto or Margarito.

I was oly throwing that up! But your right Mayweather-Cotto isn't even on the horizon right now. And probably will happend when the fight will be irrelevant to the rankings lor the fans.

            2. Calzaghe
            3. Pacquiao

Now, if Pacquiao moves up and beats Diaz to take his Lightweight belt, then Pacquiao should be moved up to 2 because he would be making history. now, if Floyd rematches Hatton, it would be a great insult to the boxing world, fans and history to keep him at #1 when other fighters are doing what they should be doing to earn that label and Pac should take it.
i respect your opinion on rankings but your reason behind it has loopholes. PAC needs to make history to rank above joe? beating a 43yr old hopkins is more of a break in history than beating arguably the best 3 superfeather in this era?
