I am afraid both would have been disqualified for not willing to engage.
I could see that happen, but I think Whitaker was better when not drugged up. I was never a Whitaker fan and liked Floyd a lot early in his career (more like respected him a lot since he was beating a lot of fighters i liked), but I would favor Pernell, he was a southpaw with great reflexes and one of the most hard styles to break down.
Well, when they did fight, Pernell won in my eyes. JCC should have fought him earlier when I think he could have beaten him (and at a lower weight) but it doesn't erase the fact he was given a draw when most felt he lost.
Honestly I dont know, infact this fight would be a huge snore fest no doubt, both guys come to look for counters, there would be huge gaps of time inbetween exchanges seriously and I am glad that Whitaker is retired becuase we know Floyd would have fought his old ass, but both in their prime, its a good tape to watch if you have trouble sleeping at night.

Pernell being a southpaw is the fact that stands out a little to me, otherwise it hard to make a selection. This would make mayweather Baldomir look like a no holds barred brawl though.

Whitaker often liked to stay in the pocket and trade, often throw hooks to the two sides of the body, and Mayweather is usually more aggressive (hittable) against lefties.
