Not residing close to either I don't particularly mind, but it would piss me off if I'd planned to go. Plus I like there still being some fights at MSG, Vegas has a monopoly on the big fights these days. Cotto-Judah atmosphere was unreal in New York last year.

I was hoping and praying this fight would be in NY but oh well. I didnt go to Cotto-Gomez/Margrito-Cintron because I wanted to go to Cotto-Margarito if they both won. They did, and im going. I dont care where it is. Ive always wanted to see Vegas anyway.

                  Financial/Marketing move

Addison I finally see your point about Cotto and the body/kidney shots. and your sig beautifully shows those 2 low blows to Zab Judah.

so he fights a bit dirty. but he still breaks people down as his 26 wins by kayo are no fluke. his raw power isn't so awesome, but he can still put people down (maybe that has more to do with where he hits his opponents though)

and yes in that Gomez gif that was a kidney shot, but the 2 knockdowns on Gomez were from a jab and a shot to the solar plexis (not counting the slip)

and as for this fight being moved to Vegas, it does kinda suck for those on here who wanted to go to MSG

but there is truth to this statement

"Vegas has a monopoly on the big fights these days."

and Top Rank already knows they can get 8oz gloves in NY .. why not Try in Vegas? because fair or not putting Margarito vs Cotto in Las Vegas automatically makes it a "bigger" fight. already mentioned but a good portion of the Big Fights are in Vegas

and this one is probably one of Cotto's (not to mention Margarito's) bigger fights.

plus why not switch it up? Judah-Cotto and Cotto-Mosley were both at MSG.

That's a good question. Who knows? I think its kind of weak that even at welterweight miguel cotto won't wear 10oz. gloves. Rules are rules and everyone should adhere to them. I'm sure pac will have arum go to NSAC and ask then to let him wear 8oz. If you really have power what the hell is the difference? You wanna wear 8oz gloves tell your promoter to make the fight somewhere else. It's also lame on the the part of the NSAC. Are they doing it for this one lone fight or are they changing the rules? Dumb as hell.
