Interesting stuff fellas, but I keep noticing that nobody ever wants to engage the specifics of my argument directly. I'll say it again; where Cotto does his damage is the key to this thing. You'd be totally missing the point if you pass over his unorthodox target areas, and the unorthodox AIDS like reactions of his opponents.

hmmm......sorry to go off subject but if they allow cotto to wear 8 ouncers does that mean pacquiao don't have to start using 10's when he jumps to 135?As reported a few days ago by Steve Kim of MaxBoxing, the Nevada State Athletic Commission agreed to meet with promoter Bob Arum to discuss the state's glove rule. In Nevada, fighters 135-pounds and above must wear 10-ounce gloves. In every other corner of the United States, fighters wear 8-ounce gloves up until 147-pounds, with 10-ounce gloves being worn by all fighters above the welterweight limit. [details]
just asking because a featheweight with 10 ouncers is more a detriment to him than such a heavy-handed , powerful welterweight having to use 10 ouncers.Comment

sorry to hear that for my east coast bros here, but us west coast loyal cotto fans have been waiting for his west coast debut. ya feel?Comment

Steve Kim said that for now it will be a one off thing until they review the rule in total so from what I gather unless a fighter or promoter petitions the NSAC to waive the rule they still have to fight with 10oz gloveshmmm......sorry to go off subject but if they allow cotto to wear 8 ouncers does that mean pacquiao don't have to start using 10's when he jumps to 135?

Yeah how about you tell that to the 26 fighters out of the 32 that Miguel has no stopping power. This man has wrecked faces (Malignaggi), destroyed shoulders (Branco), and stopped many to the body (too many to mention). Yet he doesn't having stopping power. Get real man. He might not be a one punch KO artist but stopping power he does have.Comment
