De La Hoya: "I Want Miguel Cotto in December"

Earlier this year, Oscar De La Hoya said that he would fight three times in 2008 and then retire from the sport to fully focus on his successful company, Golden Boy Promotions. He returns next week in Carson, California to face Steve Forbes, and if successful he will rematch Floyd Mayweather Jr. in September. If he gets by Mayweather, he says that a December fight with WBA welterweight champion Miguel Cotto is the one he wants to end his career. [details]

What Oscar wants, Oscar gets, this will be a mega fight. Will he rematch Mayweather?

Wonder if he will still go forward with this fight when he loses to Mayweather.

If he loses to Mayweather again, it'll be by a close boring decision and he'll say that he thinks he won. He will fight Cotto get KOD or soundly beaten, he'll anounce his retirement and in the process make Cotto much bigger than Mayweather. It's his way of passing the torch.

yea he probably willl.... make the dollars...

but thats if Cotto gets past margarito... which i think will not happen......

Cotto would probably pound him anyway.... because oscar would want to trade and go crazy in his last fight.. im sure of that.

Pass the torch my @$$... he would definitely want to win this fight.

I think he'll lose to Mayweather by a clear decision and I seriously doubt he gets KO'd by Cotto.

Since when has a loss ever stopped DLH from fighting another big fight?

This fight I actually wouldn't mind seeing. Either DLH gets retired for good, or Cotto gets caught.
