Why is it every time a Cotto opponent springs up, and I'm not trying to discredit de la Hoya, do so many people automatically say Cotto is going to get beaten?

        It's getting old people.

This is interesting, because I want Oscar to lose on the 3rd to Stevie to clear the way for the May-Cotto fight in Sept, with Cotto obviously winning against Marg. But I will say one thing about Oscar, throughout of his career, HE KNOWS HOW TO PUT BUTTS IN SEATS, AND MAKE PEOPLE SPEND MONEY TO SEE HIM!!!!

For that, I commend the Golden Boy, I have enjoyed his career since he won the gold in 92...except when he beat my pops friend, Pernell Whitaker (which I think he loss to Sweet Pea)...Great career Oscar, BUT LETS GO STEVIE FORBES!!! LOL

This had to happen, that’s how GBP gets fighters.Oscar will fight Cotto regardless of the outcome with Mayweather. In the contract will be a clause to promote Cotto’s next 3 fights.Mayweather still working with Oscar. After the Oscar –Cotto fight,Cotto will be a household name and worthy of Mayweather’s time. Then the fight will be done and bigger then.We might not see Hatton until very much later on.

This fight I actually wouldn't mind seeing. Either DLH gets retired for good, or Cotto gets caught.
                Good point.

I think it would be a close fight.

I'm a de la hoya fan, Don't do it oscar, no one wants to see u get killed, but that would be perfect for cotto, if he beats marg and then beats de la hoya, mayweather will b next for sure especially if he kos oscar or if he beats him more decisively then floyd. That would be sweet if cotto-dlh sold more ppvs then mayweather-de la hoya(I think it might have a chance)

Win or Lose, Oscar would be going out with a ****. Throughout his career he has fought the best out there.

i am not surprised that dlh is not considering a fight with margarito even though all the real boxing fans know margarito is going to knock cotto out. what will it take to end all the fear of this man in the welterweight division??
