    Yeah Right!

C'mon do you guys really believe that? It's pretty much in the bag he's going to beat Forbes (unless he's COMPLETELY weight drained & dehydrated...which I think/hope will be the case) Then there is no way he's going to beat Floyd! (Floyd Sr can't fight for Oscar) All De La Hoya is trying to do is make Floyd look bad! Listen, We all know the only fight that matters at WW is Floyd-Cotto! Since Mayweather has come on the record (several times) stating Cotto is not "big enough" at this point, De La Hoya has made it his business to Call out Cotto in an attempt to prove, "Hey I'm 34, rich, & still want the fight the best fighters (unlike Floyd Jr)"!

Trust Me it's all talk! You have to remember De La Hoya is more promoter than fighter these days, so he's just building himself & Cotto (hoping that he is the 1st one to defeat Floyd) "up". There is no way De La Hoya is going to risk his health (b/c his career is over) going in against a young beast like Cotto...Don't Fall 4 The Hype!

          oscar

Oscar better conentrate on Forbes. He hasnt looked too impressive in his last couple fights and hes another year older. I would like to see him fight Cotto because Oscar hits hard enough to keep him at bay. In the end I think he gets caught with some good body shots and ether gets stopped or a lopsided decision. We all know DLH is soft in the mid section hahaha!!!

I'm glad DLH is willing to fight Cotto against his wife's wishes. Problem is, DLH is not only looking past Forbes, but Mayweather too! I also wonder if this decision will stir up Mayweather's interest in fighting Cotto first? Either way if I like DLH's train of thought and like the fact that he is still looking to go out on a high note. Speaking of notes, his September rival should take a few.

i wont make a prediction until i see how oscar does with mayweather, and how cotto does with margarito(if the fight is materialized)

one thing's clear, miguel is a major league body puncher, that's his game. oscar doesnt have a good history of taking it to the body as he was ko'd by hopkins bodyshot, and the punch didnt look all that powerful. true it was delivered by a middleweight, and eventhough miguel is a welterweight the delivery of his liver punches is much more effective, accurate, pin point, and powerfull. if there's a possibility that oscar will get ko'd it will mostly likely be from the punishment to the midsection, or a brutal finish to the head after wearing oscar down to the body. that's one of the possibilities of how the fight might unfold
Dude are u serious? Hopkins damn near KOed a light heavy weight in Tarver and KD Calzaghe a super MW and u think Cotto has Bernard pop. Man and yall talk about Floyd fans. Yall gon quit disrespecting Oscar, never will Oscar be KOed by Cotto. trinidad couldn't even KO Oscar. I think Oscar beats Cotto all day.

I hope this happens, regardless of the outcome vs. Mayweather.

Think about it, what better way is there for DLH to go out, even if he losses to Mayweather again and will be a not-so-robust 2-3 in his previous five fights, with the only wins over Mayorga and Forbes.

It doesn't matter, as DLH loves building his legacy in this last years by fighting the best, bigger and smaller, and he has done just that. Two presumably close losses to Mayweather don't harm his legacy, nor would a career-ending loss to a rising superstar in Cotto. Adding Cotto to his resume, even in a loss, would ensure that his resume includes major lb-for-lb fighters from the 80s through the first decade of the 21st century. That is amazing, and in this day and age, it's truly one-of-a-kind.

I really like Oscar, he's been a great fighter throughout his career and has always fought the best. He's had great fights with Mosley, Quartey, Whitaker, Vargas, etc. The only problem I have is like most people's, that he continually gets in the way of other fights because he brings in so much money.

BUT, I want him to beat Floyd, convincingly, and then have him fight Cotto. De La Hoya-Cotto, I would put money down to be FOTY.
