I'm sick of Briggs.
Who should Sam Peter's voluntary opponent be?

haha i'm actually a briggs fan myself (pissed off with his last performance tho), but those types of steroids will not and cannot give those types of muscle gains. I've done a lot of reading on steroids but it looks to me he started taking HGH at some point in his career.Comment

we'll it's not banned, but i still have to suspect that all that muscle, at least partly, had something to do with it. not all steroids are meant to turn you hulky, but some of the main goals is to try to regrow, or restore a damaged tissue. in this case i would have to think that while it may not be one of the more extreme drugs out there it would still trigger something in his muscle development. either that, or briggs, even at 270 plus pounds seems to have mazing genetics. it's hard to picture that looking at him when he was still a slender fighter.Comment

depending on the steroid, such results can be achieved. plus shannon is an athlete, while bodybuilders may have a better effect than some boxers because of constant weight lifting, they still are effective for anyone who is physically active. also depends on the person, briggs is a big guy who can carry that kind of frame, in 6'5 heighthaha i'm actually a briggs fan myself (pissed off with his last performance tho), but those types of steroids will not and cannot give those types of muscle gains. Funny that you talk about "retreads" but suggest Tua. There are deserving challengers in the new generation:
Virchis, Dimitrenko, Gomez, Chambers, Ibragimov, Haye, etc.
I suggest Dimitrenko only because that would prepare Peter to fight Vitali, assuming that ever happensComment

I think he wants to weigh 270 to try and out muscle and bully his opponents around but his stamina sucks. It could be the steroids or it could be bad judgment from his part. maybe its possible for a man of his stature but i dunno... his jaw structure looks different now and thats a common HGH side effect, he has changed quite a bit... I think you underestimate how often steroids are used.depending on the steroid, such results can be achieved. plus shannon is an athlete, while bodybuilders may have a better effect than some boxers because of constant weight lifting, they still are effective for anyone who is physically active. also depends on the person, briggs is a big guy who can carry that kind of frame, in 6'5 heightComment

assuming he goes off an on cycle. whatever, we dont really know what type of steroid he uses, or maybe it's a combination. we can only speculate, but looking at the transition of his body over the years, it's my opinion, that while steroids have note done all that, they certainly attributed to it.Comment

I think they'll choose a soft opponent for Peter, and although the loud-mouthed Briggs (who lost to Sedrick Fields) would fit the bill, I doubt if he'll be chosen.
Don King will choose someone like old Golota, or perhaps give Chapman or Walker a title shot in exchange for the usual "options".Comment

What's your source on this news? Typically, hw King fighter don't usually fight more than twice per year, so naturally I'm kinda skeptical...Vitali Klitschko will not be available to fight until the fall, and the WBC mandatory won't be decided for months. I read today Sam Peter may be taking a voluntary defense.
Shannon Briggs wants a shot, Andrew Golota's name has come up, and surprisingly, JD Chapman and Travis Walker have been mentioned as possible opponents.
Who should Peter fight as a voluntary opponent this summer, while he's waiting for Vitali in the fall?Comment
