Who should Sam Peter's voluntary opponent be?

Vitali Klitschko will not be available to fight until the fall, and the WBC mandatory won't be decided for months. I read today Sam Peter may be taking a voluntary defense.

Shannon Briggs wants a shot, Andrew Golota's name has come up, and surprisingly, JD Chapman and Travis Walker have been mentioned as possible opponents.

Who should Peter fight as a voluntary opponent this summer, while he's waiting for Vitali in the fall?

Please, not Golota or Briggs. Enought with the retreads. I'd rather see a young heavyweight get the shot, even if he is unknown.

funny how everyone disrespects briggs so much because he put on a terrible performance as he was clearly sick with pnemonia. Look at the performance he put on against Lewis... the guy is exciting and people should give him another chance. You didn't see people disrespecting Holyfield a lot when he had problems and put on a poor performance against moorer. Funny you would laugh at Briggs as the opponent but im quite positive no heavyweight would be laughing. I wonder who will be the next heavyweight who wants to find out whether or not briggs was lying about his illness or not.

If I was home I'd take Golota. It is a name coming off a win who he could stop in a couple rounds just on pure pressure. Golota folds more naturally than an accordian.

Sam Peters should fight David Haye as a voluntary, it would be a great chance to see if he can hang with the big guys.

                From f!ghtnews:

                Peter sends message to Briggs?
Trainer Joel Judah, who is in Las Vegas training his son Zab for his upcoming fight with Shane Mosley, told *********.com that some unnamed members of Samuel Peter's entourage entered the gym he is using and began to taunt him. No Peter isn't looking to call out Zab Judah, but apparently a heated exchange almost got out of control after comments were made about Shannon Briggs, whom Judah also trains. Apparently the word had got out that Briggs was with Judah in Las Vegas and the group was looking to pay him a visit. Briggs, however, had left town the day before and was not present during the incident. "These guys came in here talking about how Peter wanted to fight Shannon Briggs and how no sick man with asthma (Briggs is asthmatic) couldn't last for long, let alone defeat Peter," said the elder Judah. "Being from Brooklyn, we don't put up with people disrespecting us. I will be honest, it got real heated but fortunately it didn't get physical. Shannon Briggs beats Samuel Peter. You heard it here first. If they want the fight they got it. Message received and we accept. Send the contract!"

Looks like it will be Briggs..

                I'll be rooting for Shannon..
