Im pretty sure since malignaggi, eveytime he's fought there, its been a sell-out or close to it. Floyd only took 35 minutes to sell out the hatton fight, and thats because HATTON fans, I should know as I was one of the luck few at the fight. Before these two fights floyd didn't sell out ****, you are a little diluded.

No one is debating floyd is now the bigger draw, but cotto is a big enough draw to make a superfight, if floyd is really that big a name it wouldn't matter who he fought people would turn up, like they do with oscar, hatton, roy jones in his prime. He would cerainly make a hell of a lot more than he did for baldomir

Both these guys have earned their way to the place they're in, but it's not for Roger or Floyd to dissect Cotto's market value. Miguel is attractive enough, ****. He's got huge buzz. It's starting to sound like Team Mayweather is saying that he's not worth enough versus the risk he poses..
Bing. Hit the nail on the head. This is a risk reward situation. As big as the reward for a Cotto fight would be, the risk is even bigger.

The only natural welterweights he fought was Quintana whose barely a natural welterweight cause he started hi career at Jnr welterweight and Gomez whose a bum.

And you people say Floyd has`nt fought any welterweights.

Take away Floyd's numbers against the 2 MOST POPULAR FIGHTERS IN THE WORLD, and u will see that his ppv #'s are pretty similar to Cotto's.

says who? Who says Cotto is the best? Who says Floyd isn't going to fight him? How do you know that he's not waiting to fight him for maximum money? He NEVER not once said he wasn't going to fight him! Why fight now for less money. When Cotto can build a fan base and fight for record money. It's a business to those that practices it! For you , its entertainment!

No need for insults just state your facts

Ok before Oscar ,Floyd didnt sell as much but now he is so whats wrong with him making as munch money as he can.Floyd has 2 big money fights thats why Ellerbe says at the moment Cotto is not important to them.He didnt say Cotto is not a good fighter. He only explained why they dont want Cotto at the moment.
The Oscar fight soldout within 3hrs,has any Oscar fight ever sold out in such a short time before.Hatton's previous fight had not sold out like that so Floyd had a part.
Cotto is a great fighter but at the moment numbers dont add up

I think many puerto ricans would travel to vegas to support cotto number 1. Number 2 why couldn't the fight be made in ny, it would be huge there. when floyd fought ndou he was the number 1 pound 4 pound in the world and couldn't sell out in his HOMETOWN!!!! Cotto has a solid fan base, and a win over floyd would make him world known.

Don't underestimate how popular he is, there was a documentary about him here in the UK a couple of years ago on prime time sky sports, and all his fights are shown here. Some of my friends who only casually watch boxing know who he is.

We will find out who the second best welterweight is soon enough when cotto and marg fight, then what? he waits even longer? if he was really smart he would have fought Cotto straight away, because if Margarito beats Cotto, Cottos stock goes down and he wont make as much fighting Margarito ...

You cant take those away because they are part of him, thats what Floyd is now.Cotto needs to position himseld to get those numbers and then he can become a big draw like Floyd .

The time you are talking about when Floyd's draw was like Cotto's draw is two years ago.Ever since Floyd has been on a different level
