I used be a Floyd Mayweather Fan. I used to say man, that guys good probabaly best in boxing. But all that changed as I saw he was taking the easy fights, passing by the other most skilled fighters in boxing. He ducked Marg for years he's been ducking cotto for a year or two, paul williams, but hhe did take on hatton which I thought may turn out a good fight, but then I thought about how hatton barely squeaked by a slick but nowhere near as good of boxer as floyd by the name of luis collazo. This made me think twice about hatton at 147. Bottom line floyd is a great boxer. Best in the game , maybe but we won't know until he fights the best. Floyds whole career has been tune up fights, never fighting anyone who was a real threat too him. I just don't think you could place him at number one pound for pound without facing the best.De la hoya, trinidad, mosley are not my favorite fighters but they got their respect in the boxing game, not by being undefeated, but by facing the most dangerous opponents out there

It's because Cotto-Margarito is the best fight in Welterweight right now.. Even yahoo sports and Espn Boxing are hyped up..

It's a doubled sided kind of issue. Mayweather might not respect the fact that Cotto gets the attention and the opportunities that he does because Miguel Cotto is part of an extremely healthy Boxing culture that supports him automatically because of his heritage.

Floyd didn't grow up in Boxing with that silver spoon in his mouth.

Cotto needs to keep fighting maybe by next year Cotto will be the greatest draw out there.
Boxing is a career,I'm sure any rational fighter would do the same.Get the big money fights out of the way.Noone can criticise Floyd for fighting Oscar,the numbers add up.And Hatton has a following,the numbers add up.If Cotto has a following soon the fight will happen

Cotto is a big enough draw, and floyd is as popular as he has ever been at the moment. This fight would be worth a lot of money, maybe not as much as oscar or hatton, but I wouldn't say it would be far off. Hell! It would probably be pay-per-view over here in the UK.

Gatti didn't have to agree to fight floyd, neither did oscar, but they carried the viewing figures in those fights and got floyd his biggest pay days. Why doesn't floyd do the same for the best other welter in the world, and the fight every boxing fan around the world wants to see?

Low blow **** needs to lift his weight up marketing wise.Floyd is not afriad of your latest hope.His fight with Judah did`nt even crack 200,000 according to Gleon from **********. and his fight with mosley did less than Floyds fight with JUdah
