I'm a boxing fan but to me I'm trained to deal with figures and making decisions based on benefits.Even if I was Floyd or Floyd's manager,I wouldnt fight Cotto at the moment.I would wait until Cotto grew more in stature.

Those endorsements are testament to Cotto's growth.That means he's improving and soon the fight will happen.The point here is yes Cotto is great but at the moment Floyd has more rewarding fights than Cotto.Maybe a year from now Cotto will be worth Floyd's time.

maybe in a year from now u will used an excuse like this.

"mayweather is too old to fight a guy like cotto,he doesn't have in him no more"

Now I know Floyd's at 1 time weren't that much better than his, but he has been regarded as the #1 fighter for quite sometime now. That's leverage that Cotto doesn't nor never has had. Hell he just came onto the P4P list. Cotto has a way to go still and Corley didn't almost have Floyd KOed and on ***** street. He stunned him though. And fact is Cotto had to low blow a judah who had yr layoff just to win 3 times 3 times. Cotto ain't on floyd's level in marketability or skill.

Which fight would you take?
You would go for the $1m and the $0.9 and wait who knows the $0.5 now could grow into another $1 next year.At the moment the $0.5 is not worth it.

Average Joe fan does not care about "economics and legacy" This is why boxing is no longer mainstream. While Floyd wants the least risk and most reward, I cannot think of a single fan that wants to pay to see floyd fight soft opposition on ppv. This is sick.

I understand business, but this is FIGHTING, floyd and leonard should open a ****ing lemonade stand if they're only worried about the bottom line.

This is only sport where the idea of the two best fighting is a stretch, what if New England said they weren't playing the Giants because they didnt have the ratings that the Packers would get...

NO its not a joke, after cotto got wobbled, corley was getting backed onto the ropes and getting beat up bad, did you watch the fight? Corley turned his back on him. The fight getting stopped prematurely save corley the beating of his life.

The way Corley was taking knees, you would think he was fighting the queen of england. Cotto was kicking the crap out of Corley yes he got dazed but he proceded to give Corley the worst beating of his life. Corley should've be eternally gratefull to the referee, the man saved his life.
