I would like to see RJJ fight Tarver, to avenge his losses.

is Calzaghe vs. Pavlik a realistic option??
I would reallt love that fight!!

      This fight won't happen... PERIOD.

for TWO... very very big reasons...

      1. Joe Calzaghe has no interest in Tarver... Tarver is no legend..

      2. HBO has NO interest in Tarver either...

Liek Roy said.. HBO doesnt care about your feelings or what you think you deserve, there interested in money...

They couldnt sell out Hopkins Calzaghe, and it was on Regular HBO...

You had ALL FOUR Major light heavyweights... ALL fighting each other.. ALL on the same card... and it WASNT Pay Per View...

      But Jones Tarver was...

HBO, Joe, and Roy... will make money with their ticket. Not Tarver.

Although that doesnt mean I wouldnt prefer Roy fight Tarver before Joe... just to get another fight under his belt before Joe, and possibly avenging his losses.

i think roy fighting Tarver WOULD be the most logical option, because Roy would prove he is better now than he was when he went off the rails back when tarver and johnson beat him, thus not only proving he is worthy to fight Calzaghe, but making Calzaghe's victory better and not just making it look like he's beating a shot fighter. If Jones did that it would be a cool move and i'd have massive respect for him. And if he loses Joe can still go on and fight Pavlik.

I always wanted them to fight a 4th time but didn't think Roy had it in him. He's shown enough of himself the last year or so that he's got the second wind goin strong enough to take Tarver. I could never stand Tarver for gettin famous off a faded Roy's name. But If Roy can get to Joe C first than he should do that instead.

Roy responds to Tarver: "I thought he shut the door on me last time?!"

Former pound for pound king Roy Jones, Jr. has this to say in response to IBO/IBF light heavyweight champion Antonio Tarver: "First of all, I thought he shut the door on me last time. Why would I take a $2M fight when I can take a $20M fight? HBO already made it clear what they want. They want the Calzaghe fight, and Tarver needs to stand in line and wait his turn."

Source: B-Talk, thats not the whole thing, it's all I could get since the rest is for members only.

maybe Roy should just fight Calzaghe, and Tarver should just be quiet.

Exactly, Roy doesn't have that many good fights left in them, he shouldn't waste any on Tarver, that one's been done to death already.

Why would Roy risk his biggest pay day in his career (If he fights Calzaghe twice) to fight Tarver?

                      It's just not happening.
