Tarver challenges Roy Jones - "Winner Fights Calzaghe!"

IBO and IBF light heavyweight champion Antonio "The Magic Man" Tarver told **********.com, "Roy you done put your foot in your mouth for the third time, so let's do it. We could fight as soon as possible to see who fights Calzaghe. That's what it's all about. I love the game. He keeps talking about me losing to Bernard, but he lost to me twice. He needs to vindicate himself and prove he's ready he needs to come through me, we could make that fight happen. So let me get on the phone with Don King, because Don King is his promoter and nothing is going to happen without Don King's say so. We could make this fight tomorrow and the winner fights Calzaghe December 1. Nuff said. You know when he says my name, I appear on his ass like Candyman. He wants to put Calzaghe on some big old pedestal, so let's do it. Tarver-Jones IV, where I finally shut Roy's door.!"

Tarver needs to stop with the nonsense. The new rejuvinated (it seems) Roy will beat him hanidily by a UD, 116-112.

Why would Roy fight Tarver over Calzaghe?

He probably won't, that's the thing. Tarver's just trying to whine his way into a fight he thinks he can win. How's he gunna look when Roy toys with him and then goes on to fight Joe?

im surprised people actually think roy can beat Calzaghe, roys style has never really changed much and Calzaghe has seen Roy fight plenty of times.

Roy has the speed and ability to put combos together that can eventually beat Calzaghe. If Hopkins can get by with almost beating Joe throwing 300-something punches compared to Joe's 700, imagine what Roy can do.

I don't know what fight some ppl saw, but Hopkins never came close to seriously beating Joe. What I saw was Calzaghe who hurt your boyfriend Bernard to the body then Bernard faked a serious low blow to take a 5 minute break because Joe Calzaghe was about to be the first man to stop Hopkins.

Tarver can talk as much crap as he likes. The fact is, Calzaghe calls the shots now. Tough ****, Tarver, old bean.

Okay, well first of all, ask most anyone around here and they'll tell you that I'm extremely unbiased, so quit with the "your boyfriend Bernard" ****. I didn't say he won, Calzaghe won, and I think so too. But one official judge gave it to him 114-113, and plenty of other people seem to think he won the fight, some day a draw, etc. All I'm saying is: If people cna have that opinion based on a 43 year old Bernard Hopkins working against Joe Calzaghe's workrate, Roy Jones is going to look much more impressive with his speed and combos.

No reason for Jones fight Tarver again if Calzaghe is already willing to fight him and right now Jones would beat Tarver.

As much as I think it would be a good thing for Roy to beat on Tarver.. But looks like he is going to get the fight Calzaghe, so there is really no point to fight Tarver right now.. But if Roy does get by Calzaghe, I wouldnt mind seeing him fight Tarver..
