No way Hopkins is at his best now , his work rate has slowed to a crawl because his body just doesnt have the reserves it had as a younger man , his brain and knowledge is better than its ever been but his body and reflexes is 43 yrs old and for young guys to blow this off you have no idea of aging and what it does after 40 , this is elite level and in that he is an old man .

Because Bernard destroyed him years earlier....

Echols was a great prospect at the time of the Bernard fights and Bernard ruined his career.

Even if he had the same tactics (which he didn't. Bernard was a lot more active against the three I listed) you can tell that his speed has diminished and his stamina has a bit too.

Although Bernard didn't always have a huge punch output. Considering a 43 yearold man throwing 12 punches a round as "prime" is flat out ridiculous.

Also Ulitimateboxa, up to this fight you were saying how ****ty Bernard and Winky were, but now you demand that Joe gets respect for it?

            Hypocrisy much?

Any boxing coach will tell you he was close to his best last night.

Is this a representation of your twisted view on everything?

Hopkins has the body of a 28 year old.
What would an equally well-trained athlete at the age of 36 have?
                40?

He still makes most P4P lists and doesn't exactly look shot so it could easily be said that he is still in his prime.

Repeat that until you believe it yourself.

When you reach that point, you can check in to any mental hospital you like.

They don't admit people to mental hospitals for having opinions and certainly not opinions which can be backed up with facts. Hopkins is a perennial P4P fighter and in fact makes the top five of most people who have serious views about the sport.
