Age is nothing : Hopkins is at his prime now

Beating Hopkins at 43 is a big win. A win as big as any one else who has beat Hopkins, other than RJJ.

Because any boxing coach will tell you. A Spoiler can be at his best until 50. Right now Hopkins is fighting as good as i have seen him, and the same as i have seen him for a long time.

So before you stop saying hes 43 it doesn't matter. It was a big win. Joe beat him at his own game, when Hopkins was at his best!

Hopkins prime is not right now. It ended in 2003, but it was still a very good win.

Nearly as much as those people claiming Hopkins is a spent force.

He beat Winky last fight. I mean hes no way past it. No way.

Any boxing coach will tell you he was close to his best last night.

No he wasn't. He was strong and somewhat fast, but have you even seen Hopkins in his prime? Go watch him vs Antwon Echols 2 or him vs Trinidad or even him vs Glen Johnosn and tell me he is still as fast or as good as he was back then.

That Hopkins back then had a way better workrate and was very technically sound (not to be confused with the brawler Bernard, but that ended in about 97).

                He had the same tactics.

Echolls? That win means nothing. Mundine gets no respect for beating him.

That post just tells me you haven't seen a lot of prime Hopkins, if any. Hopkins was without a doubt at his prime 1999-2003.

No one can say **** about age. Hopkins paid Shilstone a lot of money and Shilstone did his job, plus told Bernard he has the body of a 28 year old.

It's all excuses about father time catching up. What a load of crap. Either Shilstone is lying, and in which case, Bernard should ask for a refund, or he's fighting like a 28 year old man. So which is it?
