One things for sure. Roy's gonna have to step it up a notch if he expects to beat Joe. Cause it aint gonna be easy.

Roy hasn't been the same since the loss to Tarver.

A fight with Pavlik will do good on Joe's resume.. After Roy w/c will be an exciting fight, Joe should fight Pavlik early 2009 and then retires.

Roy has a good chance because he's a good counter puncher with fast hands and his punches have steam. But he fights more flat footed than he used to, and he's not good at dealing with guys that tie you up and wrestle on the inside, which is something Calzaghe can do. Roy is also a lot more plodding in his footwork than he used to be. I don't think he can move around for 12 rounds like he used to. He'll be more of a stationary target than Bernard, which will work in Calzaghe's favour. Calzaghe doesn't punch hard, so we shouldn't have to worry about Roy's chin, even though I don't think his chin is quite as bad as people make it out to be. Roy is also a great body puncher, which should slow Calzaghe down. I've never seen anyone go after Calzaghe with a sustained body attack, but that may be because of his quick feet, constant movement and quick counters. This should be a pretty evenly contested fight. I'm not sure who I'd favour. Probably Calzaghe because of his performance against Kessler, but only slightly.

Calzaghe would get more credit beating Pavlik than Jones which is why I want him to fight Pavlik.

To be fair calzaghe cant win, if he beats pavlik, people will say hes too small, if he beats jones, jones is old, i think he should go after dawson or summin.

Well it's either Jones or Pavlik. I have no problem with either. I think Jones would be the tougher option really.
