Roy Jones Jr. is making a strong play to face Joe Calzaghe later this year at the Millennium Stadium in Cardiff, Wales. He told Sportinglife that a deal is already in the works and the date of November 15 is the target. Jones sat ringside in Las Vegas as Calzaghe pulled out a split-decision over Bernard Hopkins at the Thomas & Mack Center. [details]

This will actually be a good fight to watch. Joe won last night. But he can not fight as wild as he did last night. Because Jones is more than capable of beating Joe to the punch with counter shots. His best chance to win is to just jump on top of Roy and let his hands go. I don't think Joe has any power to hurt Roy. But he can win by being more busy.Last edited by Kobe Bryant; 04-20-2008, 10:32 AM.Comment

I'm a Roy stan, but putting that aside I really honestly think Roy does have a good chance to win. I'm not just saying that because I'm a Roy fan. I'm a B-Hop fan too and I picked against him in the fight against Joe. That shows right there I put my biases aside when it comes to predicting who will win fights.Comment

November 15, seems pretty late. He was after 2 fights which isn't realistic. One fight in August, in Wales would be great.
Frank Warren has a point, Roy messed around and didn't entertain a fight with Joe for ages, and was always awkward about conditions, like with Hopkins, it's been to his detriment imo. Let Roy sit there and wait. Joe deserves to have everyone wanting a piece of him now, whoever he selects to beat, should be grateful. Mwhahaha.
