Jones sat ringside in Las Vegas as Calzaghe pulled out a split-decision over Bernard Hopkins at the Thomas & Mack Center. [details]
I think they should fight, it would be great, but RJJ saying that a fight is in works, I think is BS. I think Calzaghe's team is going to wait to see the best options for Joe and the decide. If they do fight even do RJJ still posseses speeed and stamina, Calzaghe's Busier Style will be to much for Roy. I think A guy like Miranda, Pavlik or Tito would give Joe more problems based on punching power. One of those guys could knock him out with one single punch!

Joe C said before he was pissed about Roy not fightin him in the past or that he'd been knocked out too many times or sumthin. I'm hopin he'll change his mind and accept the fight now that he's got the 175 title. I think Joe would win but my heart's with RJ.

This is a lose-lose for Calzaghe. He's expected to win, Roy is far past his prime, and if Joe loses, well...that's going to look bad. If Joe wins, he has the 'name' on his resume but it's not a high value win. Roy can still punch hard and crisply. roy fights sort of lazily these days so it would behard for him to win, but he has nothing to lose and could very well clock Joe and hurt him.

I think Joe needs to revisit history though. The reason he never got a fight with Roy before is because he shot himself in the foot staying in the UK. Joe waited too long to come out. The demand for the fight was never there, and that's Joe's fault.

That's exactly what i'm saying. I just don't see RJJ winning. It would be great but i don't see him winning. I don't think at this point RJJ can handle the pressure or the pace. He might have a puncher's chance though. I see this fight ending in a late round stoppage for joe. Although joe is a slapper... the accumulation of punches would give him the TKO victory. The REAL challenge for Joe is Kelly. IMO Kelly would destroy joe. If Joe beats Kelly then he is indeed one of the best.
