Im scottish/British im a big Joe fan, but for me he lost this fight.

Another thing is Enzo was worried ****less the whole fight, not just the last round, he knows deep down that Bernard could have easily got the decision and probally deserved it.

Wow Hopkins must be a bum coz those Marshmellow punches dropped him in the 11th

I think Joe won it, but only just. I had to watch it on a small screen with the sound down, owing to an Ultimate ****wit Champion**** bout the same night, which gained priority at the local bar. So I didn't get a complete sense of the atmosphere, but it seemed very intense and both men gave it everything. Both guys fought dirty, but who doesn't? Both guys came out elevated. It was a slug-fest. Both men are champions. Period.

I love Joe's words after the bout. You lost to a white boy. A white boy beat your ass. Bernard deserves that. Just like Joe Calzaghe deserved the caning he took. I don't like either men as men, but man they put on a show. I enjoyed the fight muchly.

If Hopkins believes that you can be so negative and barely engage then good riddance.
That isn't boxing that is avoiding a fight.
If Hopkins had dared to trade properly then we might have seen some better action instead of Calzaghe chasing an old man round the ring who simply didn't want to get hit.
Hopefully Calzaghe will meet someone who wants to actually fight in his Swansong fight.

Then you are as ****** as Hopkins who thinks that the history books will say he won. Acually, they will say he lost. (to a White boy too) YOU GOT

Men you hopkins fans. You just have to let go. Hopkins got beat. He just fought good for the first 4 rounds, and after that it was all Calzaghe. You know how ridiculous and childish Hopkins looked faking a low blow, not once but twice. I mean it was clear that Hopkins was hurt and tire, and he new he would lose the fight. If you pay close attention to the fight After the 4th round Hopkins was barely throwing punches, he was just going head first and holding, you dont win a fight doing that. I dont even know how hopkins have courage to say won, I mean Shane Mosley was in a closer fight with Cotto and after the fight he said he got bit by a better men that night and walked away. Thats class, something apparently Hopkins does not have. Hopkins should stop being a cry baby, he got beat fair and square!

So it was a lose-lose situation right? Bernard had that excuse waiting right on his tounge just like his fans, thats why he talked the **** he did.

yea just like joe already had his excuse of bias american ref's, and judges.....

you all can look at compubox numbers if you want to. the category they need to have on there is WILD< FLAILING PUNCHES THAT LAND ON ARMS AND SHOULDERS b/c punches that land on arms and shoulders go into that compubox ****............any1 who watched the same fight i did, saw 1 guy landing the "harder" shots. matter of fact, of all the hbo instant replays, only 1 had calzaghe landing a clean punch. he was in fact, as hopkins said, "fighting, like my sister." calzaghe was more active, but hopkins shots did more damage, CLEARLY, and they weren't wild.

i said it before, calzaghe won, not b/c he's more skilled, not b'c he's a better puncher, and not b/c he's a better boxer (which none of is true), calzaghe won b/c he was more active. once you get to a certain age, that's something you cant change.

this fight, the judges made the mistake i thought they would, and that is mistake activity for effectiveness.
