THe last three rounds bernard was holding on and would have never let go if the referee did not peel him off......and the whole fight B-hops was holding excessively and headbutting...Calzaghe started slow but what do u expect being that this was his first ever fight in America and first ever fight at light heavyweight.......but all the props in the world to Hopkins..i mean the man is 43 and it is amazing that we are even talking about this fight....honestly amazing man.....B-hops would be better to accept defeat tho...i do not think he would want a rematch under Joe's terms....in Wales at 168...or even at a well prepared and bigger Joe at 175.....that could be dangerous for a 43-44 old man seriously....but he should fight Roy Jones for a great revenge match...Jones beat him when he was way inexperienced...and now Hopkins could fight him when he is a bit more out of his prime that B-Hops is..

I was saying out loud as the fight was going on that the compubox stats were complete bull****. I didn't know where there were getting those numbers from.. Clearly, what they were counting as punches were all those flails that hit air and Hopkins back.

Listen, the race war is over. You lost two to one. ...And Mayweather would never have got that win without the help of Joe "the Latin snake" Cortez.

Oh, for the record, I am only ****ing around. I don't care about the race issue. Although, as the only person on the planet that is both a Hopkins and a Calzaghe fan, B-hop did make it impossible to stay entirely neutral as I had always planned before he dropped the "white boy" bomb.

Hopkins actually looked better to me than he has in years. I am tempted to say B-hop looked better than he has since Tarver, but that is misleading and complicated by the fact A.T. either truly got his aass kicked, or something was wrong with him that night. So B-hop looked good, alright?

Who would I rather be in the ring tonight? Come on, man. Joe looked sloppy at times and Bernard gets the credit for that (mostly) but anytime you can make a very proud warrior like Hopkins pretend to be so hurt from phantom lowblows, you know you are getting to the guy.

Maybe it would not have been that way five years ago, but that is just speculation. ( I personally do wish they had fought much sooner, I think we would have got a good trilogy out of the whole thing.)

The bottom line is that Joe won the fight fair and square. He may not have looked as good as some of us think he should, but what the hell does that mean anyway? It is a very unrealistic and selfish need to have our heros beaten to a pulp by rampaging freightrain or it doesn't count. It just doesn't work like that in real life.

The fact that Joe came back taunting him talking about the "White boy" thing and not talking about the outcome of the fight itself is very telling. He was running away with it sounds like.. I'll wait for the video though.

Yes, clearly Hopkins is completely without bias in this situation... Of course Hopkins is saying it. He just lost.

I'm surprised at all these robbery claims. It was such a clear Calzaghe win to me. How do you give a guy rounds for being outlanded, outworked, blatantly buying time by faking lowblows, and intitiating a clinch every three seconds? And aside from the knockdown, B-Hop's punches weren't anymore effective than Joe's - I mean, it's not like either fighter was visibly hurt at any point. Hop's right hands made Joe cautious early on, but, as the fight progressed, Hopkins was obviously becoming increasingly bothered by Joe's adjustments, and his output was typically minimal.

Much more clear than last week's Dawson/Johnson butt****ing.
