if joe recieves so much credit for popkins then cotto should recieve even more for mosley
Ease up on the drugs son. Shane Mosley had not won a title in over 4 years when Cotto beat him, and in those 4+ years, Hopkins had won a world title in a second division just two years prior and after that fought and beat a top 10 p4p in Winky Wright.

not better than mayweather - has beaten the better opponents
if mayweather fought the best available opponents in his last 4
say zab, margarito, odlh and cotto - he would be number 1 no questions asked. it wouldn't surprise me if he own all of them id favour him in all those fights
but the fact is he hasn't challenged himself the way joe izzy and pacman have

Do you feel Hopkins looked much better last night than Oscar did last May?

Floyd has had two fights in the last 11 months. How is that so inactive? Please explain.

yes hatton did fight at a higher weight than floyd earlier, but its clear from a somewhat ocntender named luis collazo that hatton isn't big enough for 147
i look at the last 3 years, who has calzaghe not fought? (hes fought the biggest 3 soon to be 4 once he gets roy jones)
who has cotto not fought (nobody but floyd who he cant get his hands on after margarito) pacman fought everybody he could izzy vazquez - fights the hardest fight every fight
floyd - fights for the most money every fight and misses some of the best fighters while clearly beating some of his best competition

Floyd is smaller than every other welterweight. And is smaller than Hatton. Ricky doing so poorly at WW is a function of his bullying fight style. He can only do that to small guys because RH is one dimensional.

Floyd is small, but he would be competitive agaisnt every 154er, and most 160ers.

I don't think you can hold Mayweather responsible for Hatton's limitations. Similarly, Margarito struggled badly when he moved up in weight. Because his success is predicated on fighting smaller or weaker (or weak-minded like Kermit) guys that he can overwhelm.

I give calzaghe credit for last night because he was clearly bothered by fighting the strongest guy he's ever faced. Too bad that Hop didn't have enough in the tank at 43 to maintain a good pace.

as far as your post no i am not an idiot. i'm a pretty smart guy actually i just don't happen to agree with you on this particular topic.

i don't need an education by the way. i've been watching boxing since i was a kid with my dad. not a boxing historian by any means but i feel i know enough to at least discuss most topics on this forum.

nice list of guys floyd hasn't fought. who do you have above him? manny? joe? cotto? there's a list of guys they haven't fought as well you know. people jump weight classes , boxers go after the big money , some guys don't have name recognition yet , etc. there's a lot of reasons why fighters don't fight each other. this is not basketball or baseball or football. there is no playoff format here. there's no schedule that you have to go by.

by the way...... you're arguing with the wrong guy. i hate floyd. i want cotto or oscar or whoever to beat him. when i put him #1 is not because i want to or i don't like the other guys. it's because i try to be objective.
You deserve to be called by that.

Idiocy needs to be properly identified. Like you do.

If you were truly boxing watching then you'd know.

I already EDUCATED you on an ELEMENTARY level and you still cannot comprehend?

Then there's no point educating you to a HIGHER LEVEL. That's the problem with noob posters like you here. YOu'll post the same BS posted by posters before. BS that has already been owned 100 times.

                  It's all so simple.

Or maybe you prefer cowards and punks for p4p kings.

Can you consider a coward who has consistently ducked top opposition AND HAS ADMITTED COWARDICE HIMSELF A P4P KING?

                  You do prefer cowards eh?

I have Mayweather and Pac ahead of him. I don't think Calzaghe should be in the mix with them yet.
