For Hopkins to have won that fight he would have had to something he didn't do for 10 of the 12 rounds. Fight.

Would you really expect a poll like this to favor Hopkins, if Bernard had won by a larger deficit, even in theory?? Seriously? Honestly?

Calzaghe won. But at the end of the day Hopkins still dealt more actual damage. But you can't score damage effectively. Calzaghe hit more often with weak punches made to just make contact. Hopkins landed real damage but he landed it so seldom. But yeah, Calzaghe won.

All we need do is look at the five dozen lashback threads aimed at what Hopkins said..

The professional pundits scored it in favor of Hopkins. People like Dan Rafael, Kevin Iole, ect, and an absolute host of others. These guys picked Calzaghe to win, but they scored it for Hopkins. Go figure that. Now that's something you would never see from the fans.
Here's Iole's scorecard and round by round as a simple example:

This is about professionals and amateurs - this fight. Professional scoring, and professional comprehension. Amateur scoring, and amateur and novice comprehension. I'm satisfied with what I've seen. No surprises.
