That's why slicksouthpaw16 wants him to fight Tarver - he knows Tarver is a good matchup for Dawson, while Diaconu is not.

When Henry was hitting him with hard shots, it seemed like there was points in the fight where he would break down mentally and start to complain to the referee. He edged this one out but Dawson and Mustaffa Muhammad should feel confident about a victory here. Diaconu is not ready for Dawson.

Diaconu can box as good as Chad despite his size. Dawson does not have the strenght or chin of Henry, so your point is mute. If Diaconu hit Dawson with the same shots he hit Henry with, Dawson wouldn't be still coming for more.
Dawson is not a strong fighter, Henry is, Diaconu outclassed him but he spent himself. He wouldn't spend himself against Dawson though. Close fight probably going for Dawson but what else is new he won against Johnson which was a joke. I can see Glen Johnson beating Diaconu though.

Diaconu leaves himself open, being stationary like that. He had trouble with Henry when Henry decided to fight on the inside. Dawson is a different fighter than Henry because he likes to fight on the outside and knows how to use his height and reach advantage. Diaconu with his style likes to fight on the outside, which is bad against Dawson, and since Dawson is more experienced now, I favor Dawson.

Chad looked dead tired against Johnson cause of the beating he took. Diaconu looked dead tired against Henry cause of the beating he gave.

I thought Dawson looked worse in the Johnson match compared to his previous fights. I think the change in trainers and the 7 month lay off affected him. Also Johnson was the FIRST person to ever pressure Dawson, neither Adamek or Harding ever pressured Dawson. Now that Dawson has handled pressured, the only thing for him now is to improve, and I expect that when he faces Diaconu.

I'll agree witht that if the fight is held in U.S. If the fight is held in Canada I'll be willing to bet most of my points on Diaconu.

Diaconu can not box as good as Dawson and since he is the lesser boxer and shorter fighter by 6 inches, Dawson will be able to counter effectively, box and tie up and land sharp uppercuts on the inside, which is the punch that Henry landed every time that he would throw it. He will time those wild shots and take advantage of Diaconu pulling straight back after he throws. Dawson is better defensively, has the better offensive weaponary and in my opinion is the harder puncher because has the better knockout percentage while beating the better line of fighters. Dawson will not be getting hit with the same punches that Henry was hit with. Hes just an all around better fighter. Also, Dawson is very strong. He was able to hold off Johnson when he was hurt, plus hes 6'3 and is looking bigger with every fight.

Henry was in the fight simply cause he is a monster fighter. He got whooped on. He got hit so many times clean, I mean my hats is off to him. If you look the first 9 rounds, Diaconu outclassed him. Then he ended up tired, which is not a diss on him rather a compliment on Henry who is a freaking beast despite being slow and all.

It was more of what Dawson didn't do rather than what Johnson did. He fought on the inside against an inside fighter and thats not good. He completely abandoned his height and great boxing advantage. He tried to bring the fight to Johnson when he was suppose to be keeping him at bay, tying up and timing Johnson coming in. I know that he will be smarter next time around because being in with a ring veteran like Johnson will only do him good. If the Dawson that fought Adamek showed up, then he would have beaten Johnson handily because he didn't fight on the inside. He went to the body and quickly got back out. Not trading with Adamek and give him his chances to win the fight.
