    Who Wins: Mayweather vs Margarito?

Seriously though, do you guys really think Margarito would beat Floyd? I could see you guys picking Cotto to beat Floyd because he is highly skilled but Margarito? Im not dissing him. He's maybe the toughest SOB out there but I think Floyd would "easily" pick him apart. I could hear Roger right now telling him to "just keep shooting that **** straight down the middle". Everything he does is so wide and its super slow compared to Floyd. Floyd shoots his shots so quick, sharp, and right down the center. He'll eat Margarito up like that much in the way that Clottey did except for he would be more consistent.

I cant believe that people picked Cintron to beat Margarito. He's looked so bad against average guys and anyone who gives him pressure gives him trouble. So what he KO Estrada and Feliciano. How about the hell those guys gave him until the KO and they werent even hitting with power. You knew that Margarito would kill him. It would be totally different with Floyd. I think people underestimate defense in boxing with they look at fighters. You see Margarito run through a big guy like Cintron so you assume he would kill a little guy like Floyd but Floyd's D is 10x better then Cintron. I cant believe that pro's like Cintron can have bad D like that. Its like he was ******ed. Margarito was killing him with basic shots and there was nothing Cintron could do and almost looked like he wanted to just go hide. He had his hands halfway up, never moved his head, and never did any kind of shoulder rolls. Margarito probably felt that this was the easiest thing ever.

Cintron's power is overrated too. He hits like Foreman but like Atlas always says, if you dont know how to setup your power shots then they dont do anything. When he's going backwards or he's in tight then he gets no leverage on his shots. They dont look powerful at all. Its kind of like Tszyu. If you smother him then he cant throw with that same power. Thats how Floyd's punch can hurt Hatton way more then Tsyzu's. He'll never hit Floyd clean with those kind of slow wide punches that he throws and there easy to counter. No doubt he'll throw alot but Floyd is probably the best in boxing at landing clean punches that gets the judges and crowd's attention. His shots would stand out way more then Margarito's. Margarito wouldnt hurt him either. He doesnt have that kind of super power. He wears you down with solid shots and by hitting you a ton. That wouldnt weigh on Floyd

I dont think it would be like Floyd-Baldy either which some think. Margarito is not as big as Baldy and Floyd has grown some. I think Floyd would sitdown half the time and box the other half. Dont think that Margarito would just walk through his shots since he walked through Cintron's. Floyd would hit him alot cleaner and they would be blind quick punches that Margarito wouldnt see coming which would make them hurt more. People can say what they want but there is no one that would bet on Margarito if they really had to make a bet. Ive even heard alot of writers start to swtich on that. He's good but he doesnt have enough skill to beat a prime Floyd. You could argue about Cotto but not Margarito

Mayweather beats Margarito by clear decision.

He'd see Margarito's shots coming and he'd either block them or slip them and counter Margarito right down the middle all night.

He has a punchers chance in this one. It's what Margarito fans have always said and he still does.

Here is what I want to ask you.

1.) Do you think there is any chance that Mayweather can hurt Margarito?

I really don't think so, and that means that he's going to come forward throwing all night long, none stop. You may think Cintron's power is overrated, but he was sitting down on his shots and landed flush, and did zero to discourage, and there is no way in hell Mayweather hits harder than Cintron anyway, even if it is overrated.
Don't get me wrong, I would favor Mayweather, but it wouldn't be like Baldomir, who is not bigger than Margarito, and who's power isn't in the same league as Margarito's, or his workrate, or even his arsenal of punches.

I think I can see Floyd getting caught, hurt and stopped. But most likely he runs and punches all night, and wins a UD, and gets booed for never engaging.

And I would bet on Margarito, I'm sure the odds would be great. ahah.

Floyd by decision, something like 117-111.

He'd just counter and move all night, Margarito would never be punching at a stationary target and he'd miss...a lot.

Antonio would test Floyd's conditioning, but he'd never really test his chin.

I think there is odds of him actually hurting Margarito. Floyd doesn't throw particularly hard, but I've said it for years, accurate punches will always be better in the long run. He could easily open up a cut on that ugly mug or simply keep piling on punches. I'm not suggesting neither Floyd nor I are idiots.

In the end, he has the ability to, but he most likely wouldn't. He'd spend his time pot shotting, landing easy shots, but be extremely defensive and not take too much offense.

He is very accurate, and on top of that fast as hell, which adds to his ability to stop fighters. That being said, Kermit Cintron landed flush shots to the head on several occasions and didn't hurt or stun him, I don't think he could do it. I'm certain he wouldn't rry, but I don't think he could do it either. Opening up a cut would be his shot at a stoppage.

Who every picked Margarito really needs to change the brand of glue they sniff. No offense, but not way Margarito could out point Mayweather.

If Floyd can keep Margarito off early he'd win a wide UD.
