I doubt Calzaghe cares too much, he has wanted this fight for so many years. In his own words "I'd fight Hopkins in his own back garden."

What do you guys think this is the old days? They don't give two ****s about selling tickets. That money is chump change. HBO got a good fight on there air which they desperately needed to do. most of you little clowns that still have your mommy paying the cable bill may not understand that. Planet Hollywood got there big opening commercial. For those of you who don't know they are a new casino.

This is probably your ******est post yet, although it's a very close call.

It's really no surprise that the tickets haven't sold out. One of the main factors is the cost of the tickets which is something 2-3x the average pricing for this type of event. I think they probably met their goals for the UK fans coming over, or at least close. The problem likely is that people aren't coming out for Hopkins. This isn't a knock against Hopkins as a fighter, it simply means he doesn't have wide appeal and the promoters count on the casual fan for the big $$$. He's not handsome, he's old, he doesn't brawl, he doesn't appear in ads or network television shows, he doesn't represent an ethnic community, and finally the fight is taking place far from his city. This is more of a fight for the true boxing fan.

They reserved 6K tickets for the UK. Warren said that ~10K tickets have been sold to ppl from the UK. No other fighter (does not inclueed Hatton) could sell this.
If DLH fights in Europe, only 5 amigos would make the trip.

They're giving away a lot of tickets on radio stations over there. I'm not surprised considering how poorly Calzaghe-Kessler did in the States.
