Yea it wont sell out. Warren says that 9,000 brits made the trip... bbbbbbbbssssss.

    Id say more like 5,000.

Calzaghe isnt NEARLY as big a draw as Hatton. Pulling 5,000 over seas is still great... but not that great. Hatton i think 30,000 fans over seas, not many athletes in UK history could have done that.

And Hopkins has never been a draw ever. I dont get why they chose such a large stadium, but they paid the most for the fight so they got it.

I think they overestimated Calzaghes drawing power because they saw what Hatton did

I like how that HBO suit was completely bull****ting and claiming that they brought this fight to the netwok instead of PPV as part of a effort to bring at least two PPV shows to the regular channel each year. :wank:

HaHA.. Yeah, right. Hopkins vs. Calzaghe features the two greatest fighters to ever make the US public not give a flying **** in a title fight..

Frank Warren was straight clowning though...he said Come on Americans support your man haha...hopkins doesn't really have Fans he has people who respect him as a fighter but he doesn't have the fanbase that will travel just to see him.

Hatton getting KTFO might have some Brits thinking twice about dropping 5K (U.S.) to fly over here, stay in a motel and watch the fight.

Hopkins vs Wright didn't exactly sell out and the people who watched that fight aren't exactly dying to see Bernard in action again.

just goes to show how much of a legend bernard hopkins really is, how pathetic

If this fight was in wales their would be over 50 thousand, instead joe goes to america, thousands of his fans follow him, but the legend that is bernard hopkins whos always ****ing on about how great and better the usa is, cant even get fans to turn out and support him

Joe wanted to come to America.

Plus it takes two to sell the fight - Hopkins isn't nearly as big as Mayweather/ODH and no one knows who Calzaghe is (in the US).

                    Personally I don't give a ****. I'll be watching on a flat screen TV
