Remember that Calzaghe has not been KO'd, defeated, or even looked to be in any real danger in any of his fights. Hopkins lost 4 times. Hopkins almost got knocked through the ropes by Mercado (knocked down twice in one fight), and he hasn't seen anything like Calzaghe since 1993 when he faced Jones Jr.
Calzaghe was more hurt in the Byron Mitchell fight than Hopkins was hurt in the Mercado fight.

Is that why Joe jumped right back up and stopped Mitchell?

Cortez refereeing will favour Calzaghe more .... assuming he referees as he did for his last fight.

I'm going to make a bold prediction that Calzaghe will put Hopkins down. I'm a bit worried he's talking about changing his gameplan for this and cutting down the output .... could be a big mistake.

As for all the comments about the comments made by Hopkins and Calzaghe, some of you need to wise up. These kids clearly respect each other loads and probably get on well. Hell even Warren gets on with Hopkins - he said so on Setanta yesterday. I have to say I'm loving Setanta at the minute - production quality isn't the best but the air time they're giving the sport is excellent and has even made Sky raise their game a bit. I'm even disliking Bunce less!!

is that why Bernard came back with a draw and Calzaghe KO'd Mitchell 1 minute after he was knocked down?

Oh yeah, it all makes sense now. NOT. Hurt? My ass. Calzaghe wasn't hurt. He was off the canvas instantly. It was a flash knockdown and he battered Byron Mitchell for pushing his luck.

                    Didn't Hopkins get floored twice.

Mitchell did hurt Calzaghe badly though. More than anyone else has. That fight was absolutely awesome ... and I'm having no **** about a premature stoppage, even Mitchell thought it was fair and didn't moan about it, mind you Byron is all class.
