Calzaghe will land hard shots to Hopkins body and be in no harms way when Hopkins tries to land body shots of his own. Calzaghe is way too quick for Hopkins.

To call a guy **** on the basis of his win-lose record is such a cop out. It means nothing. Even the 'tard originally saying Mercado was **** admits he ain't watched those fights with Hopkins

Rocky Graziano had a bunch of losses before he got a title shot. Ditto LaMotta. There are countless fighters with lots of L's in their record who it would be inexcusable to call ****. Period. Educate yourself.
I missed the first fight, which was a draw, but most certainly saw the second one, and yes Mercado was ****. I looked up his record, because I didn't recall him ever fighting another live body, and I was right.

Honestly, you don't have to defend all of Bernard's opponents, even Ali and SRR fought some bums, that doesn't make them any less great.

So by your logic, Henry Cooper was a great fighter?

I didn't ever call Mercado great, I said he wasn't ****. Nor was Cooper.

It gets sickening. Cal***gy can't punch, he slaps. Duuuuhhhh....
Hopkins will take Cal***gy into deep waters.... duuuuhhhh....
                Calzaghe never fought anyone.... duuuuhhhh...

You can get a better conversation out of the moronic zombies on Resident Evil.
I recognize a great fighter when i see one FRKO and Calzaghe is a great fighter, one the best of this era but i will always question his resume which in my opinion is weak. Maybe that Frank Warren's fault but that's a debate for another day.

I have my own views on Calzaghe, some of them seems to rub you up the wrong way(it's not just you) It doesn't mean am a ''Calzaghe hater'' which is the common response i get.

If you dont like my opinion, tough!

Off topic: Those who give a **** should give Jim Jeffries some green K. He doesn't deserve red K on his profile just because some ******* disagreed with him. Jim is one of the more intelligent posters around here. Help balance his green levels back up.

Jim, I'll give you more green K when I'm allowed to. It won't let me right now.

sorry but outside of Hopkins you haven't seen him.

So your basis of Mercado judgement doesn't really exceed mine. Basically because it turned out.....he wasn't good

I'm willing to write off those two fights completely. Because fighting in Quito can't have been a picnic.

Thanks bro, pretty messed up when ONE poster can take me from 171K points in the pos to 100K in the negative, in five minutes, and I can only give one K to someone about once a week.
