If Cotto moves up to 154 I think he might lose to a 100% healthy Vernon Forrest.

We see eye to eye bretherend.

My thoughts too. Vernon is a fantastic boxer and I think that would be a horrible first fight for Cotto take if he moved up. Other than Forrest though, what other big names at 154 are there other than Mayorga if that's what he's really even fighting at anymore?

A person speaking down about a man's courage is way more disrespectful than a person speaking down on a man's entertainment value. I have been said as a fan the PBF vs. Cotto fight should be made but I also said I understand as a man PBF going after the big money.

PBF wants more control over the negotiations for the second De la Hoya fight which why he hasn't signed the contract from what I have read. So we just might get PBF vs. Cotto sooner than we think because I believe Hatton is booked up. Cotto is the only fighter that can bring PBF any money close to what De la Hoya and Hatton bring.
Well lets keep our fingers crossed! As far as monetary value, Both Cotto and Floyd will make big money. From what i hear, Gomez made 2mil for the Cotto fight!

We need a few things to happen for the PBF vs. Cotto fight to come off sooner than later. 1.PBF and De la Hoya need to keep to their guns in negotiations for the 2nd fight. 2. De la Hoya could lose to Forbes 3. Hatton needs to lose one of his next 2 fights 4. Cotto needs to beat Margarito

Thats damn good money for Gomez.

I think he don't need Floyd either.I mean he is fighting the best welterweights out there, so as far sa Legacy if he beats Margo(Wich I think he'll do)and beat another contender he will be good to go. May be he'll move and explore at 154 after he cleans up the WW division. And as far as Money is about to get like 8 to 10 mil for fighting Margo. So he is good to go. In the other hand Mayweather's lack of real WW contenders in his resume is why people is considering Cotto to be the #1 WW and not him. I think if he wants to secure a spot in any alltime great list he need to beat Cotto,If not he will be look at a guy with very great skills but refuse to fight the best.

this list is exactly why he doesn't need to stress floyd.

Entirely True. Plus Cintron, Mayorga, Collazo, Berto, Hatton if he decides to get whoop again at 147!, Cotto have a lot of options!
