The funny thing about this is, Cotto's always been a boxer-puncher. Since day one. People just simply havent been watching him, or just started.

All the "nuthuggers" knew this going into the Mosley fight.

Remember when we said Cotto would outbox Shane with the jab, and got laughed at?

    Yeah...

cotto has boxing skills, and has started to use them more lately than he had in a while. he is not a srr type boxer, but he can box when he wants/needs to, just as he can brawl as well.

Well if what all you are saying is true, I wanna see the same Miguel Cotto that destroyed and bullied the smaller opponents throughout most of his career and go toe-to-toe against a bigger opponent in Tony providing the kind of fight all pure boxing fans want, instead of running his way to a UD victory as most of you claim he will be doing...

He has not become a boxer...

He has just reimplementing the boxing skills he has always had.

He is slick, powerful and mean. I always said he will be tough to beat, because he offers so much variety. He can do everything very well and can adjust during a fight.

which i don't understand why he took so long to finish gomez,
i really don't get it he knows he is hurt just finish him off and knock him out,
that's why cotto was asked on the post presser if he was making fun of gomez, he would of gotten more credit if he would of KO gomez on round 1,
                  i know margarito will

                    1. It's called lateral movement and boxing, not running.
                    2. Pure boxing fans appreciate technical boxing, not just brawling.

cotto can box. his strongest aspect is his brawling so we see more of that. but he showed against mosley and other fighters than he can pick his shots and evade with the best of them.
