Floyd can take this rematch at 140 if he wants. All he has to do is vacate his welterweight title. Any other scenario is unacceptable.

      That fight was not close.
Exactly, and it amazes me that some people read one story and actually think this fight actually has a chance of happening, especially at 140.

Hatton weighs 180 outside the ring, he won a title at 147, he fought at 147 with mayweather, and got knocked out, there is no reason for rematch.

Plus the fact he was offered the fight at 140 years ago and declined it means mayweather is underr no obligation to ever fight him again.

No Malignaggi will not beat hatton. Paulie doesnt have enough power to keep hatton off of him. I think his chin is suspect too

Hatton should not even mention wanting to fight Floyd at 140, thats a good way to get the fight cancelled and be out of a chance for redemption (and alot of money). Hatton better just be grateful he gets a chance to fight floyd stay away from makin demands (weight, venue, ref, etc...) Floyd doesnt need to fight him he needs floyd and Im sure Floyd has no problem fighting someone else

            Very true, sir.

That is why he has been a World Champion for years and years and Light-Welterweight, but never Welterweight.

I would personally like to see a Hatton-Mayweather re-match because a boxing match at one of the most famous sporting venues on the planet (Wembley Stadium) would be great for boxing.

Mayweather is not under any obligation to fight Hatton and vice-versa, but as we know, Mayweather has a loveof money and a fight at a place such as Wembley Stadium would earn Mayweather millions and millions of Pounds.

mayweather really did a number on hatton.......this guy just can't move on!!! every time i read an article on hatton, its alwayz about a mayweather rematch. first he wants in in his country, now he wants it at his weight. last time i checked, this guy lost a fight, ummm got ko'ed in a fight that wasn't even close- no need for a rematch. move on with your career, there are good fighters at 140!

and some1 wrote mayweather can **** off if he accepts this rematch. im a mayweather fan, and i disagree. he can take this fight, but ONLY after he fights cotto. cotto deserves a shot, and im not even a cotto fan.....

Another reason that it would be nice for this re-match to take place is the fact that the referee Cortez obviously made sure that Hatton lost out in Vegas.

Okay, Hatton still may have lost if the referee was fair, but we will never know.

It would, but he wont fight hatton again, not before cotto anyways, mayweather is an act, he gives the impression he wont fight certain guys and he builds up a rivalry to make more and more money, right now he has lots of people believing he is scared to fight miguel cotto, when and if ellerbe gives cotto the big money phone call, that fight will do a million homes ppv i reckon.

Hatton mayweather 2 in the uk aint gonna do a million homes in the USA, people aint paying to see that **** again.

If you had the slightest of chances, would you not try your very best to fight one of the most popular boxers on the planet, thus making millions upon millions of Dollars for you and your family?

Especially if you had been scolded and penalised whenever the guy fouled you, in the first fight.
