And why do you think Woods didnt show up? Its because of the man that was standing in front of him. Like I said I dont care for Tarver, but his movement threw Woods off and gave him trouble, obviously he changed his gameplan and knowing that someone who was in his camp was helping Woods, he was better off for it.

So what you're saying is that American losses off US soil don't count because Americans can't win unless they're holding all the aces?

Not at all, what Im saying is what Ive already said, besides, I dont know Tim Bradley and Im sure most dont, also he doesnt have a title to lose, nor is a champ, which this thread is about.

I have not boxed at any level and I could see the shots that Tarver was open to so let's not pretend that this was some sort of masterful and elusive performance by him. He fought at the same low standard he has done for the last couple of years, the difference was tonight he fought someone who threw punches sporadically and seemed more interested in trundling forward aimlessly and protecting his face than actually doing any damage himself.

There wasn't much of a hullabaloo when Chop Chop lost out to Witter either. Woods is very low down in the rankings of popularity among British fighters. He came to America to defend his title because he doesn't have enough drawing power to sit in sheffield and fill up the Arena three times a year and make some dough.

Also you mention Calzaghe who doesn't have a title at light heavy.

Nope you haven't stated any facts. Woods really isn't anybody.

                  Calzaghe
                  Hatton
                  Amir Khan
                  Haye
                  Maccarinelli
                  Froch
                  Witter
                  Alex Arthur
                  Clinton Woods

                  That's the hierarchy.

If that the case then what does that say about Clinton Woods then? If you havent ever boxed maybe you wouldnt understand, I have boxed and when you see fighters not doing what appears to be the obvious its for a reason. Sometimes its because of whats coming back, more times than not its because the fighter cant do the obvious, sometimes its fatigue. Most sports look easy, heck golf and tennis does but they arnt. Get in the ring and spar, it takes years to master.

America is the home of world boxing , its the big stage battleground where all the best fighters in the world fight sooner or later , like it or lump it thats just the way it is on planet earth , the biggest fights between the UK and the USA the Yanks will beat them 8 out of 10 times , been like that throughout history .
