    Bernards ****ed!
I agree. Although, whats fighting angry to a guy like Joe Calzaghe? Hasn't he always fought as if he's fighting off emotion & adrenaline? I think it wouldn't matter if he was angry or not he still produces his activity the way emotions would.

You shouldn't have to ask such a question. Kessler is probably a harder hitter than Hopkins. We'll see. Lacy was supposedly a monster puncher, but we saw what happened there. Eubank was a good puncher, even if you consider him past his prime -- power is the last thing a fighter loses, and Chris performed great against Joe who was just a young kid at the time, it was 1997 and his 23rd fight. Reid hit Joe with massive right-hand bombs plenty of times. Joe, suffering with an elbow injury and trying to recover from food poisoning, still won the fight (close one, but I had it 7-5). Joe been hit with a lot of hard shots but none of them were enough to make a real difference.

He likes to fight toe 2 toe but that aint fighting angry my freind.

Fighting angry makes you sloppy, open and off your game plan.

Calzaghe will come in like he usual does, he'll box and slug when need be.

        Hopkins cant win.

You could see in his fights at Cruiser he was still very much a great fighter.

Id say against Calzaghe hje was still at 90%.
I'd agree with 90%. 31 years old is NOTHING! Hopkins is living proof. Whatever anyone says, Calzaghe won't get the credit he deserves for defeating Eubank. It's always "Eubank was too old!", and also "Lacy was too young!" (I've heard this one before).

I usualy laugh at guys who say **** like that, pure and utter haters!

Its always the same guys, they picked Lacy, they picked Kessler (some even picked Manfreido) and they'll pick Hopkins. Still they wont admit Calzaghe is a great fighter after he beats these guys.

The thing about the Tarver and Trinidad fights is that Hopkins DOMINATED both. Even if there wasn't a level playing field as some suggest, would it have made that much of a difference that Bernard could have possibly lost either fight?

I also disagree about the reason for bringing in "the dream team" is because he anticipates a greater chance of defeat. I suppose you can look at that way but I think he sees it as a challenge that can be accomplished. Say I'm a builder and a client comes to me with a difficult project. It may require me to get some new tools, more experienced help, etc. So if everything seems feasible after an evaluation I will take the job and I think this is what Bernard has done.

This is going to be a great fight whether your guy is bhop or calzaghe. This is going to be a great fight for both guys. You can look at this fight from every different angle you want and not know the outcome till fight night. Joe throws 100 punches a round but leaves himself wide open for shots.Bhop is a defensive counter puncher with a great resume. Wait till fight night and we will all see.Props to both guys.

Despite being a White man, I do not mind that Hopkins called Joe a "whiteboy" and said "I will never, ever lose to a White person."

                  It is only words.

If you are strong, words can never, ever hurt you.

Eubanks was passed it , he came out of retirement , even the comentaters on the ring walk were saying that he should not be fighting and should have stayed retired .
Lacy was hyped to the ****house , does that make the hype true ,,,, Sheika showed the real verses the hype with Lacy , Bika and Manfredo only made Joe look not so good and Joe should never be fighting these fights at this stage of the game .

Kessler is a good fighter and Joe impressed me with that win , but Joes resume is built on home fights with a few US imports that were straight of losses or about to retire ,,,, below the surface Joes resume is average , he is a very good fighter but you cant throw his resume like its special because it isnt , its the reason why he hasnt got the recognition he craves and beating 43 yr old Hopkins probably still wont give it to him but a loss to Bhop will certainly destroy Joes legacy ,, Joe should have left the UK 10 yrs ago or fought some really big fights then instead of just recently .

31 is "passed it"? Wow, OK then!

Regardless of Eubank's retirement, the fact is he carried on after the Calzaghe fight (for which he was a late replacement) and Joe was a fairly green fighter with only 22 wins under his belt. It was a huge step up for Joe! Eubank gave Joe the fight of his life, too. Watching the video, it's pretty damn clear he wasn't finished, he was an extremely dangerous fighter who would probably have knocked out plenty of opponents out that night.
