LOL...Yeah Buddy's fighters seem to be on the losing end of the stick more than not.

I also think Floyd Sr. and Roger are vastly over rated. Cotto would have to hire two translators to figure out what they are ****ing talking about. One to translate Punch Drunk Jibberish to English, then another for English to Spanish. I have no idea how Floyd got as good as he did with them two watching over him, but I think he has to count his lucky stars.

That is just funny!!! I could see it now..two interpreter, Back to the subject i think it would be ****** of Cotto to change trainers now, He has being with Evan..for years now and they have the winning formula, They should just work out their differences like the pros that they are.

Coming over to work with Buddy,Roach or any other american based trainer wouldnt benefit him unless Evan is there with him.

I'm not sure that this is the best move. If it aint broke, don't fix it.

I for one dont support the move.

Its worked for Miguel Cotto this long; why change it now? problems or not...

EVERY trainer and fighter has problems with each other...you have to work through it.

someone name ONE fighter and ONE trainer who NEVER had ANY problems with each other at all...we may not know about the problems always (obviously) but they still happen.

its like someone coming on the board saying they never had a problem with one of their parents or a spouse ever in their entire lives...we know better.

if cotto must switch it shouldnt be to buddy mcgirt.

Make teddy atlas an offer he cant refuse and bring him back into training.

THAT would be a trainer/fighter matchup i'd like to see.

Teddy Atlas is a VERY smart boxing mind. I have no doubt atlas could give cotto all the tools and teachings in boxing he needs to beat anyone.

teddy is that guy...he can take ANY boxer and break down their game and show you how to beat it (just look what he does with guys who fight on FNF's...some of them have VERY little footage to study and teddy still does a great job) imagine what he would come up with if he could study a more popular/top fighter like the margarito's, mayweather's, de la hoya's ,etc.

it probably wont happen but i can cross my fingers and hope right?

but mcgirt is definately not the guy...

if oscar loses to mayweather in september maybe floyd sr. would be willing to train cotto...haha...

            just kidding with that one.

Nacho Beristain would be a perfect fit. Mcgirt would be the worst. Any undefeated fighter trained by McGirt always seems to lose right after joining his camp (Tomasz Adamek, Joel Julio, Eddie Chambers, etc.).

First of all I seriously doubt it's Buddy Mcgirt and Cotto will still be Cotto but with a different trainer. He still focused and has his eyes on the price, Evangelista or not.

Ew, seriously. Not jumping on the bandwagon, but I don't really believe McGirt is a trainer. He seems like he's somehow managed to become a trainer, but all I can think of is Gatti (turning him into a boxer...c'mon), Tarver (overrated), Eddie Chambers....just.....no......dear Lord.

Freddie Roach would be great, Mayweather Sr. would be interesting and Nacho would be fantastic as well. But for Christ's sake in all seriousness, not Buddy! lol
