..BEST PURE BOXER: Mayweather Or Calderon?...

I was reading some boxing articles and I stumbled upon this, written by William Dettloff. It goes...

"I am convinced, finally, that Ivan Calderon, and not Mayweather, is the best pure boxer in the business. Why? Against the right guy and when he wants to, Mayweather can punch—ask Ricky Hatton. Calderon can’t knock out anyone and keeps winning anyway."

That's actually a pretty interesting point. Discuss. Vote.

That makes two of us which really bums me out because I hear all these great things about the guy. I love a good boxer. I can't vote until I've seen some of his fights.

He's fun to watch if you enjoy very impressive looking UDs. Lol. Seriously fun to watch for a technical guy. I can appreciate those performances. The added drama of him being in a division that has guys with enough power to check his chin makes it more exciting. If he fights Ulisis Solis next, he could actually get caught up. If he had the exact same skills at WW, I'd take him over Mayweather...... if the odds were right. Lol. So damn close to call.

floyd is still better imo, because he moved up and dominated huge punchers with his boxing ability. calderon imo is 2nd only to floyd, because i have seen many of his fights, he in unquestionably, the best pure boxer next to floyd, he is amazing to watch. the only prblem with him is that he doesn't move up. floyd has dominated his opposition and has a much better defense and this is very important in a contact sport like boxing, the art of hit and don't get hit. that makes a great boxer, but seeing how calderon is fast on his feet and has only six knockouts, he is impressive to the max to watch. floyd though, takes more risks, and p4p, he'd be a favorite in any fight to win, because of his amazing defense, and fluent movement, and add to this, floyd's accuracy is much better than ivan's. compare ivan to floyd at 130. i would love to see this comparison.
