You don't get the larger picture here.
When you say "us fans" or "we the fans" who are you talking about? Are you speaking for everybody?
Lets put it like this, what if only a 100 people wanted to see this fight and you were the spokesperson for those 99 other fans. And then I or somebody told you that it's better to wait so the fight gets bigger, what would you say?
Would you still be selfish and ignore the bigger picture here. That if waiting a lil longer, the fight can go from a 100 fans to a 1000 and from a 1000 to 10,000 etc,.
So while you 100 hardcore fans don't care about all of that, the fact remains that it's a business and a job to them and not just a hobby and they will do what they think is right to collect more money for their efforts (training, promoting, fighting).
It's the way it goes.
