calling an italian a white person would be like calling a puerto rican a mexican or calling a dark person from the Dominican Republic (ie. David "papi" ortiz of the red sox) a black person.

italians are mixted with some swiss (northern parts) and with those from spain (southern parts) but to flat out call them white is wrong...

The "dark"ppl from Dominican Republic as you call them they are of african descent, yes they are BLACK. There are millions of afro-Latinos. David ortiz, Edison Miranda, Casamayor..etc are of course black. Latinos are of all races.

Id have to say you're totally wrong. Klitschko has nothing to do with being white, its more of not being an American and not having the killer instinct like say a Sam Peter does.

The only reason Kelly Pavlik isnt a huge star right now is because he just became champion, hasnt even had a defense, and there arent any other middleweights who really gain interest. And the media pays more attention to black athletes?

Did you read my post? Cassius Clay and Mike Tyson immediately became famous when they won their first title - BEFORE they were champions - but Pavlik hasn't, even though he's middleweight champion. Before Clay ever had a title defense, everyone in America had heard about him. The media celebrates black athletes more than white ones.

Oh by the way, when Clay won his first title, there were no other good heavyweights except past prime Liston and Patterson. That was in the day before Frazier, Norton and Foreman came along. The middleweight division is probably better now than the heavyweight division was then.

You say Wlad has no killer instinct? You ignore the fact he has 44 KOs! Ever watch his other fights, or are you just focused on that last one? Peter is less of a killer than Klitschko. Sam couldn't stop an old McCline, Wlad KOed a prime McCline. Peter couldn't KO Hawkins - we'll see if young Boytsov can accomplish that on Apr 26.

I'm part italian and i'm white as paper. When ppl walk past me they think thats a full blooded white person, they're first response is that oh hes not white he is part italian/sarcasm. My grandmom is full italian and she is white.

what are you on the other side? if you are of british decent or german decent (or something similar) then i can see why that is said about you.

My dad (for example) is dark...real dark for an italian...he's about as dark as felix trinidad (maybe a shade or two lighter at the most)...he doesnt get mistaken as a white guy (unless he has his beard going in the winter time)...

I (usually in the summer months) get mistaken for a hispanic of some type (i dont get REALLY light in the winter but there is a noticable difference).

Clay was a gold medalist thats why he was known before, and Tyson was a heavy weight knocking dudes out within 3 rounds so you cant really compare a middleweight to him because a good heavyweight will always be more famous.

Wlad, jabs jabs jabs then throws the right occasionaly, im sorry but thats not entertaining and thats why hes not a major star. Every punch Tyson threw was able to put someone out, and while thats not the best way of fighting it gains interest and people will like you, i mean just look at Ricardo Mayorga, people know hes there to knock someones headoff so theyll continue to watch him no matter how many times he loses.

There's a difference between "Spanish" and "Hispanic".

Mexicans are a mix of mostly native with some Spanish. Most Dominicans are a mix of black and Spanish.

Wlad was a gold medalist too, but Tyson wasn't.

Wlad destroyed all his early opponents in the early rounds. Check it out on BoxRec...he was MORE impressive than Tyson in his first 25 fights, Tyson had two go the distance with two, only one went the distance with Wlad.

But we never heard anything about him in the media.
