i dont understand why fans criticize opponents resumes. you're basically saying that your favorite fighter is fighting an overhyped bum. what does that do for the credibility of the fighter?

The trick is that you have to do it in a more educated manner not just insults.

I did that with Ricky Hatton prior to the Floyd fight. The way I thought was, Floyd critics/haters are gonna think what they wanna think about Floyd's legacy so who cares.

My job was to drag their fighter down so low to prove that he will not win that they will start rethinking their prediction for Hatton to finish what Castillo started.

Then after the fight, if people wanna still debate Floyd's hall of fame credentials......I can kill some time doing that.

its not an article against calzaghe but more so against the calzaghe fans. but if you don't like reality checks, than not reading the article was a good idea.

I do believe it, if a 43 year old Hopkins beats Calzaghe hes the greatest fighter on earth!
